It´s Triggerhappy Thursday with Jon Sable !

Today is Mike Grell´s 71st birthday and since I am running out on good material from his runs on AQUAMAN, LEGION OF SUPER - HEROES and others I have decided to do a post about one particular series Today.

The Mike Grell birthday post I did in 2016 had art from all the series he graced with his pencils while the post from last year was very WARLORD - heavy. But as longtime readers of this blog know I don´t like to always do the same kind of post - because that is not only boring for me but also for my readers - and while I was going through the Mike Grell folder I found a lot of original art most of it from issue 17. And while that may not be the best number to start - especially since it ends on a cliffhanger - it is rare enough to find this much original art from one issue. So Today our topic is Mike Grell´s fantastic creator owned JON SABLE FREELANCE and since I have already pimped this series ad nauseum in the annual Salma Hayek posts and elsewhere we go directly to the action. One more thing, usually I try to stick to 23 pictures per post - and here like always the original art page and the colored version count as one page - but since the story is longer and I didn´t want to leave anything out I am bending the rules a bit on this one. To make up for that we did have less than 23 pages in my last Jack Kirby FANTASTIC FOUR post and I have included the letter´s page.

Before we come to the wildly popular bonus section ( at least I hope it´s popular since I always put a lot of work into it, sometimes more than into the comic part of the post ) I have to do a little bit of self promotion / public announcement. This will be the last post for the next few days which in itself is nothing new since my posting schedule is rather erratic lately. The reason why there will be no post for the rest of the week however is a very good one since I will be at the ComicCon in Munich on Saturday the 15th and Sunday the 16th. And not as a visitor but as an exhibitor. That´s right, after months of hard work the first new issue from Kerosin Comics is out, written ( well, more or less since I didn´t have a story when I started ), drawn, inked and in some cases even colored by yours truly and if you are at the ComicCon in Munich you can get the first issue of VERSAUTE BETTGESCHICHTEN at booth G28 in hall 3. It´s 32 pages of completely SJW free erotic content for adult connoisseurs of comics.

As always there are a few celebrity birthdays I missed since my last post that are worth mentioning and we start the entertainment section with the anniversary of the late french comic artist Jean - Claude Forest on September the 11th. He is of course best know as the creator of Barbarella which - as is the case in a lot of comics adapted for the big screen - most people only known from the 1968 movie by Roger Vadim who was a huge comic fan. Though the movie was initially a flop it became a cult film after it´s second release and has had a big influence in pop culture as the Duran Duran named themselves after the movie´s villain Dr. Durand Durand and even Kylie Minogue referenced the film´s opening sequence in her video Put Yourself In My Place. The comic on which the movie was based came out in 1962 and was first published in the french V - Magazine and later as stand alone books. Barbarella was quite groundbreaking and became known as the first adult comic book. For more info go to the website about Jean - Claude Forest on ALCHETRON and Jean - Claude Forest´s Barbarella : A Landmark in Adult French Comics over at PAUL GRAVETT .

Originally Brigitte Bardot and Sophia Loren were approached for the title role which ultimately went to Jane Fonda. Who by the way wore a mega hot red dress in Cat Ballou which might have had an influence on the creation of Jessica Rabbit about whom we will speak later down the line.

We are staying on the subject of male sex fantasies with another cult siren as the impossibly hot Taraji P. Henson celebrated her anniversary on September the 12th. You can say what you want about the effectiveness of PETA - as long as their ad campaigns manage to convince sexbombs like Taraji to show off her 38C ( ! ) - 28 - 37 measurements I´m okay with that.

I first became aware of Taraji on Person of Interest and she´s currently on the hit show Empire which means that I will have to check that out as soon as the series is at an affordable price or amazon has one of their sales. Besides the PETA ad Taraji has posed nude for a recent issue of Allure and you can see her naked in the 2001 gangster flick Baby Boy.

Daimn, can you believe she´s 48 ? Which means that if I ever managed to bone this nubian sex goddess I would be doing it with a younger woman.

Also on September the 12th comic master Milo Manara celebrated his 73rd birthday. And while I don´t own his complete works most of his comics are part of my four colored library. He is what you call an artist´s artist and I was lucky enough to get a comic signed with a little drawing by Manara.

In America he is mostly known for his covers for Marvel and the ensuing controversy which is mainly Marvel Comics signing Manara to draw lots of variant covers and then complaining that he does what he does best, namely draw hot chicks. The whole thing was kind of ridiculous because nobody expected Manara to draw any male Marvel characters but the usual persons who always complain ( who generally don´t buy comic books and have no knowledge of comic history, comic books in general or anything else related to comic books I might add ) got up in arms and suddenly Marvel was " If we had known that this was going to be what he would put on the covers we never would have hired him in the first place. " which is a lot of political correct BS. They knew damn well what they would be getting when they hired Manara. It´s like hiring Garth Ennis to write a comic and then complain that it´s non stop bashing of super heroes from start to finish. Anyway, while Milo Manara does have a knack for depicting the female form he is also good at drawing everything else and reducing his work that has a lot of political, religious and sociological dimensions to just good girl art comics is doing him a great disservice. In this spirit I have included a video that shows a well rounded view of his body of work.

Today instead of one long cartoon video we have two short ones. Usually I don´t like to put two videos for one artist in one post but it seems that I somehow always forgot my bookmark for the animated feature length movie The Legend Of Parva, which is based on a story by Milo Manara.

Returning to nubian sex goddesses, Today´s birthdays start with Yunoka Doyle who turns 40 and whom I mentioned in my CASTING THE JUSTICE LEAGUE MOVIE REDUX post. She was Ashley´s " bosom buddy " Keesha on The Fresh Prince Of Bel - Air with a big emphasis on the " bosom " part.

Of course a big part of that show´s success and continued appeal around the world ( there are probably only a few people on the face of the planet who can´t recite the lyrics to the title song in their sleep ) is Tatyana Ali who grew from a cute little girl into an incredible sexbomb over the course of that series and who got to show her musical skills.

Much to the chagrin of the show´s producers she really bOObed all out in later movie appearances like The Clown at Midnight or Fall Into Darkness .

Since Yunoka Doyle is strangely absent from YouTube for reasons unknown ( it is extremely difficult to find any information on her or any further shows she might have been on apart from The Prince Of Bel Air which I find hard to believe since she definitely had the body to succeed in showbiz ) here is a video with Tatyana Ali looking absolutely gorgeous.

Frank Marshall celebrates his 72nd birthday who produced a lot of films with a big impact on culture like the Indiana Jones movies, Poltergeist, Twilight Zone, the Gremlins movies, Young Sherlock Holmes, the Back To The Future movies, the Feivel movies, Innerspace, Arachnophobia, The Sixth Sense, the Jason Bourne movies, Seabisquit and last but not least Who Framed Roger Rabbit ? which created the sexiest toon in history.

I mentioned the Feivel movies before because Don Bluth has his 81st anniversary Today. He was Disney when Disney had stopped being Disney ( I know this sounds weird but it also makes total sense ) and the first Don Bluth movie which I saw and where I was aware that this was by Don Bluth was The Secret of Nihm. Although my all time favorite Don Bluth movie is Anastasia which I have finally bought on DVD. I will probably get the Blue Ray sooner or later because this really demands a high quality resolution.

So it should not surprise longtime readers that I´m using this opportunity to post another video with latin masssita Thalia who really looks much better in the blue dress from the movie. She did the songs Una Vez En Diciembre and Viaje Tiempo Atras for the spanish language version which is one of the resons why haven´t gotten it because you can´t access the spanish language version on the german Blue Ray. Coming back to Thalia, since I have bookmarked dozens of videos of her ( which is just the tip of the iceberg ) I try to post as many as I can since the last - and only - post I managed to write about her was on her birthday last year ( click the link ).

We are staying with movies as Today is also the anniversary of Richard Kiel´s birth who is best known as the extra large Bond antagonist from The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker. He also appeared in Cannonball Run II, Superboy and The Fall Guy with Markie Post and Heather Thomas

She played stunt body double ( and what a body it was ) Jody and her job was to keep the male viewers hooked by providing eye candy. She was in all episodes except for an episode in the first season. Yes, fan service is not as new as some people might want you to think and Heather Thomas mainly got the part because of her absolutely amazing bikini figure. OMG !

It took a few episodes before she could strut her stuff but once the tv guys got a taste of Heather it happened more often and the famous blue bikini scene was quickly added to the new intro of the second season.

For generations of adolescent young boys the only highlight of the week was the short moment when Heather appeared in her famous blue bikini.

Like most growing teenagers I watched that show religiously but the biggest part of its appeal for me were sexbombs like Heather Thomas and Markie Post who didn´t appear as often in a bikini as I would have liked.

Well, Heather Thomas did since that was her main purpose on the show but Markie Post´s appearances in bikinis on The Fall Guy were very few.

Markie Post played bail bonds contractor Terri Michaels ( who replaced previous bail bonds contractor Samantha Jack played by Jo Ann Pflug ) beginning with Season 2 and at the beginning she played a minor role.

One of the producers must have realized what a waste it is to have somebody like Markie on the cast without letting her " show off what her Mama gave her " like they say Today and the rest is 80s tv history. Markie Post got more involved in the stories where she stole the scene from Heather Thomas as soon as she donned a bikini ( mainly in Season 3 ).

Coming back to Heather Thomas, thanks to her absolutely stunning 37 ( ! ) - 23 - 32 measurements and the exposure in The Fall Guy she became a famous pin up model with posters in every hormone driven boy's bedroom.

She even managed to replace Raquel Welch on the number one spot !

80s Power Girl Markie Post is probably the best known cult siren on the blog because not only have I done many re - posts of her original post .

I also keep mentioning her in other posts and her original post is in the Top Ten Posts widget that appears on every post. Since I have done so many different versions it is not so tragic that I did not do a re - post last year even though I did the last version of her cult siren entry in 2016 .
