Not that I´m not putting a lot of additional stuff in the other birthday list posts - especially some comicbook stuff to give these posts a bit of much needed balance - but you know what I mean. Anyway, from the title of this post you might have guessed that after last year´s Bob Layton IRON MAN tribute post that was all about John Romita Jr.´s classic stint on the book ( he later returned for a second not less impressive run about which I wrote a little bit in this Bob Layton tribute post ) we are now returning to the period of what I consider to be his best Iron Man armor ever .
Like with the black Spider - Man costume, Thor´s new armor outfit and Steve Roger´s black, white and red The Captain uniform ( which we will see later in this post ) this was a very different look for Iron Man and I loved it so of course they later got rid of it rather unceremoniously. I must say, now that I look back at that time Marvel Comics really tried to do a lot of new and different stuff back then but contrary to what is happening Today where it is all just change for change´s sake it was all story driven.
Okay, end of my little rant. I was almost about to call Today´s post ARMOR WARS - THE REVENGE because I decided to return to that storyline. Not only to pimp the Iron Man - Stark Wars Epic Collection but also to pay tribute to Mark D. Bright who became one of my favorite artists through these issues. I get the feeling he is underrated but he worked on some of my favorite series like A BIZARRO or the original QUANTUM & WOODY.
Now before we come to the art I selected for this post you might want to go back and check the Bob Layton IRON MAN post from 2014 ( yup, these posts go back a time ) where I wrote at length about the new silver armor and the storyline. I also included a lot of pages from the epilogue to the entire story, issue 232 beautifully drawn by the great Barry Windsor Smith.
The bulk of the art is from issues 225 and 227 and usually I try to cram as much original art into these posts as possible but I couldn´t resist to sneak some favorites like Steve Rogers with his The Captain suit and the Scott Lang Ant Man in. Not only because the best parts of the Marvel cinematic universe involve Scott Lang but also because he always was a favorite character of mine. And I appreciate him much more now then when I first read the issues. I guess it comes with a certain age that you get to appreciate single parent heroes like Scott Lang or Eric Masterson.
There were quite a lot of them during the day and they were totally unlike Today´s fathers in fiction who are all the worst fathers ever. It almost seems like there is a secret empire working to convey this image of fathers being unfit parents. Anyway, I said I didn´t want to rant on this post so let´s get to the art but not before sending a shoutout to the guy from MYCOMICSHOP who always save my neck with their great cover scans.
When the celebrity birthday posts are finished they will - hopefully - cover the ground until the 20th of September so we continue on the 21st. There may be more of these posts where I will write about some of the birthdays at length - especially since Peter David´s anniversary falls into that time period - but for the moment I will just include the links to previous post.

Time to jump back in time to September the 26th with a literal cult siren since Christina Milian who turned 38 sings like an angel and is absolutely hot. On top of that Christina has seductive on stage moves that would make most stripper pros blush and a perfect body that just won´t quit.
Christina is one of those cult sirens where I always think I have written something somewhere about her but when I check there is nothing there.
I had a few posts about Christina Milian at my old boobblog and I thought I could fall back on those but after checking them out I realized that it was mostly pictures so I have to come up with something new on the spot.
For me Christina Milian was one of those singers who is always below everybody´s radar and I think the first time I actively sought out her albums was when I read somewhere that she did the title song of Kim Possible which is a show I mostly watch because of Ron Stoppable.
Anyway, I got a few CDs of her way back when I still listened to music on a regular basis which was not easy since she is not well known in Germany. I like her performance in most of her movies I have seen although she is in a lot of chick flicks or teen comedies like Bring It On. She also was in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past where she is uncredited for some reason which is a real shame since her part - which I happen to see through the wonders of the internet - is spectacular ! I really should get that movie because while it is another chick flick that lays all the blame in the world at the feet of men there are a lot of hot sexbombs in it like Lacey Chabert or Rachelle Wood.
Coming back to Christina Milian, like I said I always think I have already posted something about her because I have a lot of bookmarks for her and I even made a special folder for her best pictures. But each year I have to postpone it for some reason or another so this year I have decided to include something about her even if it makes the post that much longer.
There is an almost endless supply of fantastic pics of Christina because she´s one of those women who makes all the other celebrities look bad. In every papparazzi shot she looks like she just came out of the gym and the pictures from her live performances are even better. I can´t even begin to describe how gorgeous she is on the pictures of her various photoshoots.
September the 26th 1981 must have been a great day for singers who grow up to be real sexbombs since Collien Fernandes was also born on that same day. Besides being a starlet, vj and tv host the german photomodel who has to thank her portugese, indian and hungarian roots for her exotic look used to be a singer. Although she does not like to be reminded of that because her shortlived career as a pop star had less to do with her singing voice than with Collieen´s erection inducing 34C - 24 - 34 measurements.
Her hardbody was also the main reason that she was hired as a vj for the first german music channel VIVA where she got the highest ratings when she was wearing a deep cut cleavage or reporting live from Spain in a tiny bikini. Sadly there are no clips from that show available in good quality but there is a video from one of her most famous episodes of the call - in show interaktiv where her huge boobs are almost completely visible in a deep plunging cleavage and her pokies are pressing through the thin fabric.
Besides doing lots of photoshoots for the kind of magazines girly men buy who are too embarrassed to buy real wank material like MAXIM, HQ and other Collieen was never in PLAYBOY in spite of being one of the hottest german celebrities. What a gip ! She also was on various tv shows like Maxim Tv where she often wore nothing more than a bikini or the german version of THE SIMPLE LIFE which was much better than the original show because with Collieen Fernandes and her best bosom buddy Gülcan ( who put a really big emphasis on the bosom part ) it had twice as much boobs.
Collieen also tried her hand at acting like in the horror movie Night of the Living Dorks where she was completely miscast. Let me tell you one thing : there is no way in hell a sexbomb with a centerfold body like Collieen would ever hang out with the kind of nerds that were in that movie.
What confirms this theory is that in real life Collieen seems drawn to alpha males or at least people that are successful to some degree which is the only reason I can think of why she married german douchebag Christopher Ulmen. Or maybe it´s true what they say : women just prefer @ss#0les !
Lysette Anthony celebrated her 56th birthday and she is the only reason Dracula - Dead And Loving It will be remembered in the next decades !
A spoof of Coppola´s Dracula movie it didn´t do much financially and the only reason why it´s still on tv in reruns are the hot vampire babes in the movie. I mean female vampires have always been sexy but Lysette really takes it to a new level the way she squeezes her big talents together.
Holy motorboat, Batman ! I´d let her suck me any time she wants - as long as she doesn´t drink my blood, if you know what I mean. Although, for a chance to do her I would even give a pint of blood. Damned, indeed.
Besides her appearance on Dracula - Dead And Loving It Lysette Anthony played in a plethora of movies where she sometimes displayed incredibly huge boobs. But she really gets it on in Murder In Suburbia. Her breasts have the size of big melons and she wears a dress with a huge cleavage !

Looking back on Bob Layton´s decades on IRON MAN you realize what a great series it was before it became the hollow mockery it is now thanks to the SJWs. With David Micheline´s and Bob Layton´s supervision in the writing department and such great artists like John Romita Jr., Mark D. Bright, Butch Guice ( whom I didn´t appreciate as much back then as I am now ), John Romita Jr. again and last but not least the late great Paul Ryan it´s no surprise that for the longest time it was one of Marvel´s top notch books. Plus Bob Layton´s slick and shiny inks gave the book a consistent look and he also pinchhit as the penciler a few times. With so many great story arcs to choose from and the media exposure Iron Man has garnered from the movies there are surprisingly few videos about his book. But there are a lot about the AVENGERS so now that we have all seen what a train wreck they made out of one of the team´s biggest challenges ( and in fact one of the biggest challenges of the Marvel universe ) it´s time to look at the original INFINITY GAUNTLET saga. One of the many things that bugged me about the movie version was that in the original version it affected just about every character in the Marvel universe - not just the super heroes - while in the theater version you just didn´t get this scope.
They did the best with the limited cast but they should have had more of the secondary and tertiary super heroes coming out of the woodwork to pick up the slack after some of the more prominent heroes disappeared.
Speaking about the AVENGERS movies, no offense to Scarlett Johansson but my black widow of choice is 41E Angie Griffin who is one of the few cosplayers who can give 40D blow up sex doll Yaya Han a run for her money.
She has been in a few videos as Black Widow and while we are ( probably ) never going to see Angie naked - at least as that character - neither are we going to see Scarlett do the full monty since she has gone on record that she will never get naked in front of the camera. Although with the current SJW - infected political climate in Amerika it is a big questionmark if she will even be in the newly announced BLACK WIDOW movie ( after how many years of the fans clamoring for it, but hey, what do a bunch of fanboys know in comparison to the wise sages of Hollywood ? ) since they might go with the blonde Doppelgänger from the comics and stick one of those flat chested broads who can´t act like Bree Larson ( who looked like somebody had just squashed her cat with a car throughout the entire CAPTAIN MARVEL movie ) in there. I´m not kidding, a lot of people say that it was not Bree Larson´s fault that movie was such a colossal failure but you just have to watch the scenes in AVENGERS : ENDGAME with Scarlett Johansson. It´s astounding how little emotion comes across Bree Larson´s scene with the team, it´s like there is no real connection and Captain Marvel is not a living, breathing human being. With Scarlet on the other side you are blown away with how much you get even in the small scenes. There are literally entire worlds of acting between those two.
They should have just let the AVENGERS - EARTH`S MIGHTIEST HEROES guys write AVENGERS : ENDGAME. They wouldn´t have f - worded it up.
Since I mentioned Mel Brook´s DRACULA - DEAD AND LOVING IT in the post I wanted to include a classic Dracula movie but BLOOD OF DRACULA has nothing to do with either Dracula or his blood. Plus it´s in black and white. That´s right, the movie below is titled wrong because as you will see in the opening credits it´s BLOOD OF THE VAMPIRE. Which is about a scientist who keeps himself alive via illegal blood transfusions from the inmates of a prison for the criminally insane. So he´s not a real vampire.
The movie had notable success especially in drive - in theaters as part of a triple feature together with REVENGE OF FRANKENSTEIN and THE BEAST OF HOLLOW MOUNTAIN. Fun fact : as part of a promotion every movie goer whose ticket ended in 13 or 31 was treated to Dracula´s Buffet Luncheon which consisted of Dracula´s Cocktail, Devil Zombie Skulls, Crispy Skull Chips, Devil Fruit, Vodoo Spirits and a Werewolf Tall Sandwich. Yummy !
We are taking a break from all this blood and violence with the Smurfs or LOS PITUFOS like they are called in Spain. Finding entire episodes is a rare treat so I wanted to include this video a.s.a.p. As longtime readers know this cartoon show was my curtain call during my military service in Munich.
We are returning to dead bodies one last time with a series I have not posted in a long time. This is Columbo with Ein gründlich motivierter Mord or Double Exposure. It guest stars Robert Culp who also was on my favorite tv show The Greatest American Hero and they could have used somebody with Columbo´s mental faculties in AVENGERS : ENDGAME.
