MVP Monday : Ron Lim's Infinity Gauntlet !

A new month, a new topic but we are still straggling the George Perez / Marvel Comics month duality since THE INFINITY GAUNTLET written by Jim Starlin started out with George Perez on pencils but by the end of issue 4 Ron Lim had to come in to finish not only this series but he did also the two follow up series INFINITY WAR and THE INFINITY CRUSADE.

Longtime followers may remember that it has been almost three years since I wrote the second part which was mostly George Perez art but which already featured some pages by Ron Lim. And since I mentioned his HEAVY HITTERS series DRAGON LINES for Epic Comics in my spotlight for Peter David's and George Perez SACHS & VIOLENS series I thought it's about time to feature this very underrated artist again. Now the way I go about including original art is I try to avoid posting stuff I have already posted but since I can't keep too much stuff on the laptop it is hard to know what I have already used and what not. I do however go over my old posts to eliminate any redundancies. Except if I find a new version in better quality. In this case there were quite a few pages where that rule would have applied but I really wanted to avoid anything I had already posted in part one and two and go on with the Ron Lim art. Also I don't think those pages would have added something crucial to this spotlight.

So it's going to be all Ron Lim art in this post - from issues 4 and 5 - and that is going to be confusing enough because some of these pages come before the ones I included in the second part while others come after.

Don't worry, you will figure it out.

For my next part I thought we could wrap up THE INFINITY GAUNTLET and the sequels in one go but I found so many new pages that those will be at least two posts so I will probably throw in THANOS QUEST pages.
