Originally I was going to do the next part of John Byrne's iconic revamp of Superman but since I like to change things up once in a while we are jumping forward in the Superman timeline to pay homage to two men of steel, none other than John Henry Irons a.k.a. Steel and the underrated artist who pencilled the MAN OF STEEL ongoing series, Jon Bogdanove.
And it's not like Jon Bogdanove hasn't worked on iconic comic stories.
Besides participating in Superman stories like THE DEATH OF SUPERMAN, FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND ( from which there will be no pages in this post because I am saving those for a special spotlight post ), REIGN OF THE SUPERMAN ( which will be the main part of this spotlight ), PANIC IN THE SKY ( which we already covered in this post from 2023 ), THE DEATH OF CLARK KENT and the electric Zap Superman ( which both will also be in future posts ) for DC Comics he worked on the FANTASTIC FOUR VS X - MEN 4 issue mini series, X - FACTOR and POWER PACK for Marvel Comics.
