As longtime followers of this blog know I did posts about all the different series Mike Zeck worked on last year and in 2016 so this year I wanted to do something different so Today it´s all about DC. Now there are pictures in this post which I have posted before but either I have found them in much better quality or I didn´t have the original black and white art. But before we come to Today´s magnificent Mike Zeck artwork I want to put up the links for my post on Mike Zeck´s work on G. I. Starting the birthday section we - as has become a staple lately - come to those celebrities which I could not cover this year starting with the inventor and living embodiment of the term " bootylicious " Beyonce who celebrated her 37th birthday just two days ago on September the 4th.
Even though - or especially because - I have already done two re - posts of her original post I wanted to do a new post for her. I don´t have the time to look for new GIFs of her but I keep finding them when I am looking for other stuff so I thought I could post my own selection of the best. As always the lack of time prevented me from doing it but maybe I can do one later. The thing is that right now my Beyonce GIFs are all over the place and I have to put them in order. Which I have to do anyway because there is one folder with GIFs of her that has other stuff I prepared but never got to do and as it looks like I will never going to get around to do it I have to throw the stuff out because it takes up too much space on my laptop. Here´s hoping I can do a Beyonce post not too far down the lane.
Just one day after Beyonce Raquel Welch had her 78th anniversary and so far I haven´t gotten around to put her cult siren post on this blog. Maybe I can find the time next year if I can collect a few more high quality GIFs.
We make a jump over to Germany with Dieter Hallervorden who turned 83.
He is one of the pioneers of german television. After many years Nonstop Nonsens and Die Didi Show have finally been released on DVD and Blue Ray so you can get those classics for your slipper cinema as we say in german.
Which brings us to Today´s celebrities and Justin Whalin´s 44th birthday.
He was the second Jimmy Olsen on Lois & Clark - The New Adventures of Superman which came without any explanation. Although to tell the truth I was paying more attention to Teri Hatcher and her incredibly long legs.
She played the BEST Lois Lane on tv so far and was the first actress who made it believable that Superman would choose her over the ultimate sex bombs in the Justice League of America like Big Barda or Wonder Woman.
While there were a lot of hot women on the show Teri clearly was the main attraction showing off her bouncing boobies in a lot of sexy outfits.
She also was in Desperate Housewives where Teri proved she still looked racktastic . And who could ever forget the " I´m not a stripper ! " scene ?

Her co - stars were Sylvester Stallone who appeared in the first Judge Dredd movie and Arnold Schwarzenegger who was the only one who took his role as Mr. Freeze seriously in Joel Schumacher´s Batman & Robin abomination.

Someone who surely has some thoughts along that line is Craig Ferguson who love to make her come again and again - as a guest on his show I mean - but since I have already posted all the videos of Rosie Perez on The Late Late Show ( some of them probably more than once ) here is a clip of Rosie talking about her time on In Living Color choreographing the Fly Girls. Massita Rosie is still a fly girl and she has really massive MILFshakes !
We´re staying with hot cult sirens with Betsy Russell who celebrates her 55th birthday and who is best known for getting her freak on - and her clothes off - in such classic screwball comedies like Private School, Tomboy or Cheerleader Camp. There are too many playmate birthdays in the year to put them all on the blog so I concentrate on the few I´m familiar with from the time when the PLAYBOY magazine was a big part of my regular reading material and Peggy McIntaggert really stood out because of her incredible Power Girl figure.
Speaking of the stroke material of my misspent youth, Michael Winslow turns 60 who is best known for his antics in the Police Academy movie series where he appeared alongside mega busty real live Power Girl Leslie Easterbrook who had her best scene in Police Academy 4 - Citizens on Patrol where her torpedoes emerged from a pool in a wet t - shirt .
She also has a spin - off post that is re - posted most years that used to be in one post together with Janet Jones Gretzky who starred alongside her in Police Academy 5 and Becky Mullen but I had to put it in three separate post because I upgraded it with a lot of animated GIFs. I also wanted to do a new version of Leslie´s post as well as Becky Mullen´s repost from 2016 .
The post also included 80s cult siren Monique Sluyter and the Tutti Frutti girls but that part got too long and I had to give it a post of its own which I re - posted in 2016 in a new and better version . She was a candidate from my JLA movie casting series - as Fire a.k.a. Beatriz da Costa in the Andy Sidaris Special - and before getting her solo post she was regularly in all the annual re - posts of italian mega soccer MILF Simona Ventura .
Besides appearing as Sally, the farmer´s daughter on the first season of GORGEOUS LADIES OF WRESTLING and various guest appearances on every major tv show ( of which her most memorable is an episode of MARRIED WITH CHILDREN opposite Pamela Anderson - see GIF below ) Becky starred in various erotic midnight movies including SINFUL INTRIGUE. With all that said german audiences know her best from taking her clothes off on TUTTI FRUTTI . Her biggest contribution to american culture however is HARD HUNTED and there are two other actresses from Andy Sidaris movies who appeared on TUTTI FRUTTI, Sandra Wild and Carolyn Liu. Andy was probably THE BEST director of action movies for adults. And his cast read like a WHOS´S WHO of playmates : Roberta Vasquez , Ava Cadell , brunette Cynthia Brimhall, Dona Speir , Pandora Peaks, Julie Strain , Shae Marks, Samantha Phillips and Julie K. Smith to name just a few of them.

And it´s back to comics with MAD artist and GROO creator Sergio Aragones who celebrates his 81st birthday. He is a big part of my comic reading history, first through the MAD look at features and his border drawings and later through his various mini series like Fanboy, Sergio Aragones Destroy DC, Sergio Aragones Massacres Marvel ( although the DC comic was much funnier because the writing in the Marvel book was too much like the actual comics ) Louder Than Words, Actions Speak or Funnies. And yes, I have read some Groo but I don´t own more than three issues tops.
In the Dearly Departed section of Today we have blond bombshell Carol Wayne who was best known for her appearances as the buxom Matinee Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. With the mega inflated body of a living blow up sex doll predestined for the adult industry ( her exact body measures are not known but it is assumed that they were around 39DD - 24 - 35 ) she did a nude PLAYBOY pictorial in February 1984.
With a curvaceous body that must have been the envy of most porn stars of that time she had many fans who followed her guest appearances on such television shows like I Spy, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. , The Girl From U.N.C.L.E. , The Fall Guy or Love American Style where she played a very distracting buxom secretary. She also had roles in the movies Gunn, The Party and her last one Heartbreakers in which she had a nude scene. Carol appeared in many sketches on The Red Skelton Show but she gained her greatest fame for her 100 plus appearances as the Matinee Lady between 1971 and 1984. Holy Moley, she would have made one hell of a Power Girl !
Since there are a lot of Batman related covers by Mike Zeck in Today´s post - yes, this is still a comic blog - I wanted to include a cartoon video with Batman but since they still have not done an animated version of Ten Nights Of The Beast ( for which we all can be thankful for keeping in mid how bad those animated adaptions have been lately ) here is the Dark Knight teaming up with the Man of Tomorrow when they were done right.
Although we already have two videos with music I have to include Doja Cat´s " Mooo ! " which has become sort of a meme as I understand it.
There are some things that are just weird and appealing at the same time and this video is brilliant because of its simplicity. It also helps that Doja Cat is not bad looking. So I had to put it on the blog as quickly as possible.
I would like to play the song on a loop because since my knee injury I haven´t slept more than three hours a day and it would be nice to get the full eight hours of sleep. I find the song to be very soothing and relaxing.
That works fine as long as I don´t watch the video because for some odd reason it always makes me feel too aroused and then I get no sleep at all.
Now I´ve heard about the controversy that Doja Cat wrote something offensive on twitter for which she apologized which seems everything twitter is good for nowadays. When I first heard about twitter and that it´s supposed to be an easy way to let people know what you are doing I thought it was a really great idea. Then I learned that you have to write everything down yourself which was just too much work for me. I mean, who has time for that ? Now I´m glad that I never was active on twitter because everybody is deleting their twitter account because they said something decades ago that somebody somewhere might find offensive.
But back to Doja Cat. I found an article of her alleged perpetration but I stopped reading when I saw the words homophobic slurs. Because sorry, but as soon as you use a word like homophobic you have lost all rights to complain. Because as soon as that word is dropped you are not reporting objectively and you have started to push an agenda. Instead of saying that she wrote slurs against homosexuals they use the term homophobic which is spreading propaganda. It implies that homosexuality - and I am not trying to give any value to a specific sexuality - is something positive and normal and if you have a problem with that there is something wrong with you. I mean, what is a phobia ? It is a very strong fear to the point of irrationality bordering on a sickness. So by using the word homophobic people are already trying to influence our way of thinking. It´s a not so subtle way of mind control through words, something the Nazis used in Germany under the name of Gleichschaltung. It´s the same thing the social justice whiners are doing to the comic industry right now where they try to guilt readers into buying their awful propaganda comics by saying that if you don´t like them you are a racist, or anti - feminist or homophobic. So the controversy with Doja Cat doesn´t interest me at all.
As a short aside, since my last post I´m one of the proud owners of a copy of the new Jughead´s Time Police trade paperback - they really reprinted this - and the last story is by the creative team of Chip Zdarsky and Erica Henderson, the duo that ruined Squirrel Girl by turning her from an okay looking normal woman into a pudgy, overweight, unattractive dyke. I thought Erica Henderson only draws Squirrel Girl like she is suffering from Graves´ Disease but apparently she is unable to draw human beings period. After reading the story I wanted to cut my eyes out or at least wash them out with acid and now I can understand why The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl has so little success and is constantly in amazon´s bargain section. It completely baffles me that somebody at Archie Comics thought it would be a good idea to put them in charge of the new Jughead comic.
But back to Doja Cat. Here is a video where she explains the lyrics and how the videos was made and I had even more problems concentrating on what she says in this one because the picture resolution is much better.
My favorite part is when she talks about vegans because she tells it like it is. The most annoying part of vegans is that it´s not enough for them to be vegan, no, the whole world must know it. They constantly spew their vegetarian / vegan propaganda which would not be so insulting to the rest of the populace if they would not automatically imply that they are better human beings because they don´t eat animals. Again, as soon as you start thinking that there are two kind of people and that you are in any way superior you have immediately disqualified yourself. Like somebody said : If you are doing good for selfish reasons it does not make you good, it just makes you good at being selfish. The whole argument of vegetarians or vegans always sounded very fishy to me because aside from biological necessities ( there are some things your body needs to stay healthy that you can only get by eating animals ) it rates - again - life. What vegans do is that they say a plant - which is still a living being - is worth less than an animal and so you can eat a plant without any problem whereas eating an animal is a very bad thing. I don´t make those kind of distinctions and eat all equal. The only reason why vegans have no problems eating plants is because they don´t look at them with sad eyes. Plus an animal would not think twice about eating a person. Because it´s natural. It´s the way of life. Eat and be eaten. Anybody who has seen Bones must be amazed by all the animals that eat human remains. Anyway, this is the end of my sociological rant. Boy, Today we have a lot of political topics. Which means I either get a lot of hate comments or my readerships drops drastically.
