Okay, if you want to get technical about it my last post about Gene Colan was the one where I posted DETECTIVE COMICS 559 in which Batman and Catwoman team up with Green Arrow and Black Canary but those who read the post I made to pimp the second volume of TALES OF THE BATMAN - GENE COLAN may remember I had to leave out a big part of the pages I had selected for the post because I couldn´t just post part of DETECTIVE COMICS 533. The story by Doug Moench was just too good. But our loss back then is also our gain Today because we can jump right into Today´s post of Gene Colan goodness. One last thing before we come to some beautiful Gene Colan black and white art - with the according color pages as usual - since I couldn´t write a post on Alfredo Alcala´s birthday I made sure to include some pages that feature his distinctive inks since Alfredo worked on a lot of Batman tales in this period. And now what better way is there to start your weekend then with some Gene Colan Batman art ?
So this post was not my typical Gene Colan birthday post since last year´s post had a little bit of everything and as did the one I wrote in 2016 . I hope that there are some new readers of this blog but there are too many Gene Colan posts to link them all so just use the tag. That´s what it´s for.
If this post has shown me something then that Gene Colan posts come sooner than I may think and so I have decided to include some links I was saving up for the future. We start with Anthony Summey on THE DARING COMIC who explains what he has learned from Gene Colan ( which I can understand since Gene Colan helped me out of a few tight spots when I was doing the first issue of my new comic book ) then take a detour to THE SUPERHERO SATELLITE to read about Blood Sport - not Bloodsport, that´s a martial arts classic with Jean - Claude Van Damme - a storyline in which Batman turns into a vampire that ran through Batman 349 to 352 and Detective Comics 517 and 518 that can be found in the out of print Tales of The Batman - Gene Colan : Volume 1 hardcover before letting Charlie Chipman at ADVENTURES IN POOR TASTE dazzle us with his review of the first volume of Tomb of Dracula : The Complete Collection trade.
Staying with horror comics written by Marv Wolfman THAT´S NOT CURRENT , THE SECRET SUN and RAGGED CLAWS all take a look back on Night Force, THE FIRE AND WATER PODCAST has post on issues 3 and 4 and 5 and 6 of the series ( they may have more but these are the ones I came across doing the research for this post ) and BLOG INTO MYSTERY has a post about Night Force 9. As I said, I planned to write more about the book which was one that you had to dive into the back issue bins for but in the meantime the complete run has been reprinted in a nice hardcover which I can only recommend for all Gene Colan fans, fans of horror comics or anyone who want to read a great comic by two masters of their craft.
Speaking of obscure comic book series you had to do some bin diving for we come from the grsly to the weird with one of Gene Colan´s most far out series. Yep, even stranger than Howard the Duck. Those readers who participated in this blog´s BIG CHRISTMAS CONTESTS ( which were an annual tradition in which I gave away free comics ) and who were lucky enough to get some of the free offerings from Archie Comics for FREE COMIC BOOK DAY may have recognized Gene Colan´s art in some of the stories. But that was not his only work for the company and COMICS ALLIANCE has a post about the confusing Jughead´s Time Police in which four Jugheads from different time zones had adventures in time and space during which they battled Morgan le Fay which is also the subject of a post on THE COMICS CUBE and if you want to read that mind boggling yarn Archie Comics is releasing this comic book milestone as a digital collection . We can only hope that it sells well so we can have a print edition soon.
As it has been a week since my last post there are a few birthdays - comic book related and otherwise important - that I missed and the first one is the aforementioned 101st birthday of Jack Kirby. I don´t want to put up links to all posts that tackle that subject and as longtime readers know Jack Kirby has been popping up in a lot of posts on this blog. From my feature post on Big Barda to my special THORSDAY posts about issues 171 ( part 1 / part 2 ) and 173 ( part 1 / part 2 ) where I found the german black and white pages of the issues from Williams to a THORSDAY post on Vince Coletta´s birthday with a special focus on the horrible re - coloring of Disney´s re - issuing of TALES OF ASGARD in an omnibus edition that obstructs almost all of Kirby´s art. I still hope to write the post I initially intended to do Today in the not too distant future but in the meantime new readers might want to check out last year´s Jack Kirby appreciation post which was an assemblage of various series he worked on or the post from 2016 which was a feature on Pacific Comics CAPTAIN VICTORY series .
Also on August the 28th Kelly Overton turned 40 who is famous for showing off her butt cleavage in the 2010 Tekken movie. If you take the correlation between the way a woman dances and how she is in the bedroom into consideration Kelly must be a real sex freak in the bed.
We continue with August 29th as Jason Pearson turned 48. Since he is one of my favorite artists I did a post for him in 2016 and I would have liked to showcase more of his wonderful art but I could not find the time and I want to wait until I find a few better examples of his craftsmanship than the ones I currently have. I don´t know if he is still making comics but I am a big fan of his creator owned Body Bags and while it apparently didn´t sell that well to turn into an ongoing feature I would like to see a nice hardcover collection. Hey, if Danger Girl can keep selling the same issues again and again in new books why can´t we get Body Bags at least once ?
On August the 30th we had two comic creators, Robert Crumb and Jaques Tardi celebrating their respective birthdays and because I haven´t written specific posts for either of them - and it doesn´t seem like this is going to change - here are two videos which I have been saving up for a long time.
Our first birthday Today is comic writer Joe Kelly due to the fact that there is no record about the year of his birth. If you have been reading comics for more than a few years you have without a doubt come across his name since he has been on many books. One of those books is Justice League of America, where his run was very underappreciated despite such all time favorites - at least for me - like Trial by Fire, The Obsidian Age and one of the best Justice League spin off series Justice League Elite. At this point I have probably read the two trades of The Obsidian Age a dozen times and I have no idea why DC still hasn´t done an absolute edition or at least a nice hardcover collection with the entire epic saga.
I always planned to make a decent post on the subject matter but as usual I have not gotten around to it and the only opportunity to write about it was in one of my few Casting the Justice League of America movie solo post where I put 80s bodybuilding icon Rachel McLish in the role of Dawn.
Dawn gave me an opportunity to include another hot woman of exotic descend into my cast and I liked her in the Justice League - and her husband Manitou Raven - even though I was not keen on her backstory.
The first thing we know about her is that she grew huge boobs at the early age of thirteen which all the old tribe members noticed first.
Especially the war chief who bought her so he could sexually assault her on a daily basis and when she bit him, attempting to keep him from using her overdeveloped body like a blow up sex doll she was called the goat.
Despite this I really liked his interpretation of the Justice League of America so until I can find the time to write my big feature on it check out those issues as well as his run on Action Comics where he wrote one of THE best Superman stories ever What´s so funny about truth, justice and the american way ? The story has Superman going up against the Elite, a new super hero group that was modelled after iMAGE´s The Authority and examining why the values he stands for are now more important than ever. It´s a story that DC is obviously not promoting in the hopes readers will forget it since it goes against everything they did in the New 52 and are doing now in the new SJW Superman series by Brain Michael Bendis.
Another guy named Joe is Joe Jusko and since his year of birth is known I can tell you that he celebrates his 59th birthday. Like with Jason Pearson I have made a special folder for him and I think I have enough for a decent post but as always time is a commodity I never seem to have enough of. Especially when I am writing these ultra long entertainment sections.
The inventor of Tae Bo Billy Blanks turns 63 who starred in many martial arts movies like the Jean - Claude Van Damme vehicles Lionheart and The King of Kickboxers which is called Karate Tiger V in Germany. Billy also appeared in Kiss The Girls with Morgan Freeman, The Last Boy Scout with Bruce Willis and Halle Berry who does her unforgettable erotic dance ( you can´t really call it a striptease since she doesn´t take off any clothes ) and China O´Brian II. Speaking of taking off clothes, while I´m a big Cynthia Rothrock fan the best part about the last movie is sexbomb Melanie Good with her incredibly long legs who is better than good. Or is it she is good at being bad since she plays a stripping contract killer ?
Since we are on the subject of sexy stripper babes, one that´s still in the making and who has the body of a young Halle Berry is my future wife Jair.
I promised myself not to make more animated GIFs with her since I have other things to do like work on issue two of my comic. Which was one of the reasons I didn´t post so long. It took me most of the week but issue one has finally made its way to the printer and besides Halle Berry Jair has probably had the biggest influence on the look of my female character.
Now it has been a while since I posted a video from Teens React because it always takes so darn long to make the GIFs - which was one reason why the Jack Kirby post didn´t get posted on Tuesday since I just finished with making them Yesterday - but now I just had to give my male readers another update since this may be the breast video with nubian sexbomb Jair. It also may stay that way for a while and it seems that summer time is officially over because in the newest videos Jair is covered up a lot .
People always tell me that I am way too fixated on her boobs - and with people I mean mostly women who insist on telling me how creepy it is that a guy my age says Jair is very hot while Samantha Fox and Nathalie Uher both did nude pictures when they were around her age - but it is hard to ignore it when Jair is practically putting her boobs on the table !
What made cutting the screenshots down to the right size even more complicated is that there is a whole lot of shaking going on ( of which there can´t be enough, don´t get me wrong ) but luckily I chose a good baseline and apart from one instance it was valid for the entire video. I really have to hand it to the guy who shot this video because I do not know if I could have held it steady with Jair´s big melons distracting me.
She gets extra points for wearing a see through shirt but they are immediately nixed because she wears a bra under it which defeats the whole purpose of see through clothes. How are we supposed to see any nippleage ? She may be wearing it in order to prevent us from seeing her nipples or because she needs the extra support because of her big boobs.
Man, it´s about time that they have Jair do a wet t - shirt car wash or at least a micro bikini / string tanga striptease / lapdance preferably with another hot react sexbomb like Brooklyn, Jayka, Rae, Becca or Sidney.
They could make it a punishment for losing one of these challenges and regular readers may remember that I called " Foul ! " on the constant dog food eating punishment. I mean really, react audience ? There are so many hot react babes at your disposal and the best you can come up with is " They should eat a can of dog food. " There are many better uses for those absolutely stunning girls that immediately come to mind and on spanish game show for example it has become a staple that female contestants are drenched in water or wear a wet t - shirt, which could be adapted here.
So I had a few ideas what Jair could do if she looses a challenge and the number five idea was that she has to wear a sexy outfit like Janet " the best body in showbiz " Jackson in Jermaine Dupri´s mega raunchy music video Gotta Getcha where Janet plays a extremely busty stripper dressed up as a school girl / teacher which was so hot it never aired in Germany.
It´s what I call casting at it´s best because Janet Jackson was just born for that role. Not only is she predestined to play a stripper because of her incredibly fit and flexible pornstar hardbody which could have earned her a fortune as a big super star in the adult entertainment industry she has some incredible stripper moves that make real striptease pros envious.
Okay, I don´t know if the script said explicitly " busty stripper " but with her huge melons it´s the only kind of stripper Janet can believably portray.
My number four punishment idea was to have Jair re - enact Halle Berry´s bonerriffic striptease scene from Last Boy Scout with the only difference being that Jair would´ve to continue until she had taken everything off.
Or at least as much as possible. Sadly she´s still underage so while her doing something like Halle Berry´s topless scene in Password : Swordfish may be possible I think it´s safe to say that we won´t get her to play the sex scene from Monster´s Ball even if she already has the body for it.
Continuing my third idea for a good challenge would have been to have Jair wear a very revealing micro bikini which would automatically lead to a Try Not To Get A Boner competition among all the male reactors present.
Another idea I had was to make Jair wear a tiny bikini or at least an otherwise revealing outfit while eating a banana or ice cream cone as seductively as possible sitting next to a guy who has a crush on her.
And my number one idea was of course to get Jair to do a wet t - shirt challenge and if she fails or refuses Jair would have to participate in a wet t - shirt competition as her punishment. So either way she would have to don a wet t - shirt and it would be a win / win situation for all involved.
In any case, here is the clip with THE best performance by Jair EVER who turns this into a Tits React video and I hope that they can come up with some more interesting challenges for girls who loose in the next videos.
I am also re - posting the following video about optical illusions with hasian sexbomb Rae since I fear that most readers did not check it out sine I didn´t have an animated GIF of Rae at that time. Another must see video is this Just Dance video where Rae is paired with hasian teen Jayka.

Now I said in previous posts that Teri´s breast performance on the show is in that very episode PHEROMONE, MY LOVELY ( season 1, episode 10 ) and it´s hard to beat Teri dolled up as a busty drugged out harem sex slave.

After this long tangent on Teri Hatcher you probably expected a video with her but while I wanted to seize the opportunity to put up a few links to her posts for new readers I have already run out on Teri Hatcher videos.
What I still have is a video I was saving up for a Christmas post but I have more than enough Christmas specials right now - including the infamous Star Wars Christmas Special - that I can´t possibly fit them all into this year´s December posts. Plus I want to give props to the great late Jim Varney, whom I sadly discovered really late in my life and who for me is one of the most underrated actors and comedians of this era. Most people only associate him with Ernest but if you have seen The Bervery Hillbillies you know that he could also play very subdued and nuanced characters.
One series I haven´t started watching is The Munsters and Today is also the anniversary of Yvonne De Carlo best known for playing Lily Munster.
The reason why I haven´t started is that I haven´t the time with all the super hero related tv series that I try to keep up with. I am not always successful - right now I still have to see the fifth season of Marvel´s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - and because I have now started to watch Kolchak, the Night Stalker after finding a few rare episodes in german on YouTube it will be a while longer until I finally get to unpack the complete Munsters box set which I got really cheap at one of amazon´s last bargain sales.
The last two birthdays I have to mention are people who have had a big impact on pop culture : Rocky Marciano, not only the inspiration for the Rocky movies but also one of the best boxers of all times and Edgar Rice Burroughs whose Tarzan, John Carter, Warlord of Mars and The Land That Time Forgot books inspired countless adaptions in comics and movies.
With all the stuff in the fun block so far we still haven´t gotten to the cartoon video of the day but because we already had some long videos and you are probably tired at this point I want to include the making of another underrated classic. Now I am not saying this is the best animated feature film ever but the music alone is worth the price of admission.
As it couldn´t be any other way I have to end the post with a Gene Colan video.
