You may ask why that is so and for the answer to that we have to go back all the way the 18th of April of this year. When Jack Kirby´s anniversary came up in my agenda I immediately went through my picture archive but since I didn´t have enough good material for another spotlight one series in particular and I didn´t want to make another with a collection from different series I went to one of my favorite series : THE FANTASTIC FOUR.
And as luck would have it I wrote a post on April pimping that series because I had just bought volume 9 of MARVEL MASTERWORKS - FANTASTIC FOUR but there were - as always - some things that didn´t make it into said post. So I thought about doing another Best Of Original Fantastic Four Pages post when I realized that I had almost all of the original art for issue 99. Now it is very rare to find an entire issue and after a bit of internet research I find almost all of the pages I was missing. I still haven´t found the original art for the cover. Anyway, usually I stay true to my 23 pictures per post rule but since I don´t think that adding one or two pages from another issue would improve the post I hope my readers can forgive me for playing it fast and loose on this one. And here is - without further ado - issue 99 of THE FANTASTIC FOUR titled The Torch Goes Wild !
Since it has been only two days since my last post ( in which you can find most of the links to my other Jack Kirby posts so I´m not including them here again ) there are only to important birthdays I missed. The first one is Walter Simonson who turned 72 Yesterday and while he is one of my favorite artists ( he did the art on Just Imagine Stan Lee creating the DC Universe - The Sandman and you can still get the omnibus at amazon for around 20 bucks which is a real steal ) it took me until 2016 to make a solo post for him and even then it was not on his actual birthday. I had to do it later but I wrote a special THORSDAY WITH WALTER SIMONSON post to make up for that. I thought about continuing with that topic as it has been a long time since my last THORSDAY post ( I always get too depressed when I see what Disney is currently doing to him ) but I also haven´t done my long postponed FANTASTIC FOUR FRIDAY WITH WALTER SIMONSON post which I planned since I finally managed to buy the Marvel Epic Collection The Fantastic Four : Into The Timestream for a reasonable price which collects part of Walter Simonson´s run on that book. Anyway, maybe I can get a whole FANTASTIC FOUR MONTH thing going since I don´t post often enough that a FANTASTIC FOUR WEEK would go longer than one post.
Now the reason why I so rarely did a Walt Simonson post on his birthday is that September the 2nd is also Salma Hayek´s birthday but I just did a re - post of her original cult siren entry last year ( I also did re - posts in 2016 and in 2015 ) and since I have nothing new or important to add I hope my loyal followers can survive one year without a new Salma Hayek post.
We are staying with hot cult sirens who have earned an entry in the annals of celluloid striptease history with Yasmina Filali who turns 44 Today. She started her career as a model with 14 thanks to her exotic look from her maroccan mother´s side and you may have seen her in Motown, Half Past Dead or The Antman ( not to be confused with the Marvel character with the same name ). Although to german audiences she is best known from her PLAYBOY pictures in May 1999 and as martial arts specialist, bouncer and stripper - not necessarily in that order - Yvonne on Die Rote Meile.
The series was named after the red light district of St. Pauli in Hamburg and was a sequel to The King of St. Pauli. It followed the lives of pimps, prostitutes and strippers but they were all portrayed like regular people not like in american tv where people from this walk of life are always horrible people. Anyway, I watched every episode because they had a very easy concept : one strip in every episode not interrupted by commercials.
Even if they did not go totally topless - sometimes they had pasties on - I was glued to the tv. Now longtime readers know that one of my pet peeves is giving credit to the unsung actresses who upgrade movies and tv shows by getting naked on camera and there were sure some among them on Die Rote Meile as I found out when I tried to find the names of my favorite strippers. Yes, only the " real " actors are mentioned in the cast meaning those with a speaking part which tells you which place some women still occupy in Today´s society. So if anybody out there knows the name of the actress with the huge melons below put it in the comments.
Anyway, one of the best strippers of the regular cast is Sylvia Leifheit who has a secret identity in the series as she plays the typical devoted wife by day, secret stripper by night. Sylvia made me realize two things : firstly, while I usually don´t go for skinny chicks she is just oozing so much sex appeal that I would do her in a minute. And second, hair color can really make a difference because her character in the series is actually a blonde and despite having the same figure as a blonde she´s kind of - meh - looking while as Luna with the black wig Sylvia´s a real firecracker !
A few years back I got the complete first season of Die Rote Meile on DVD at amazon at a pretty decent price and I´m glad I seized the opportunity because it really goes for ridiculous prices now. I can really recommend this show and Sylvia Leifheit alone is worth the price of admission.
After this long tangent about strippers I usually post another video of Deja Monroe but I already used up all the old ones. There are new videos but they are very short and only there to promote her new website. Which I am not against but it´s too much work for videos that are seldom longer than a minute. Luckily I came across this video while looking for something completely different and once again it´s those asian girls to the rescue.
Charlie Sheen celebrates his 53rd birthday and I wanted to skip him as I never watched a lot of Two And A Half Men. Not because there were not enough hot women in the series but because a show that is mainly about chasing after women is too far removed from my life. As a comic reader and comic creator women are generally not a big factor so shows like How I Met Your Mother become really boring really quick. And in the case of Two And A Half Men the show has lost all of its dynamic after Charlie left to the point where it doesn´t even make sense. It was about a guy who lives in the house of his rich brother and their family problems and now it is about an odd couple that is not related and the writers can´t decide if they are gay or not ( hint : since Alan was married and is still trying to score with women HE is obviously not gay ) ? Anyway, the only reason I decided to mention Charlie Sheen is that he worked with Brenda Bakke.
Brenda first made waves on the big screen in Hot Shots 2 which I found better than the first part. It´s one of the few cases where the sequel was better than the original since the first movie was just a collage of funny scenes while part 2 had almost a story. And of course sexy Miss Bakke. By the way, this is how I always pictured the women from the west doing it.
The next time I saw Miss Bakke - at least that I was aware of, see list below - was on American Gothic, one of the best horror series on tv ever.

Brenda also appeared in the tv shows Ned Blessing, The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., Charmed, Popular, Dark Angel, NYPD Blue, Dollhouse, The Mentalist, Dark Blue, Supernatural, If Loving You Is Wrong, Criminal Minds : Beyond Borders, The Bridge as well as in Tales from the Crypt : Demon Knight, Under Siege 2 : Dark Territory and L. A. Confidential.
We are staying with tv entertainment as Costas Mandylor strangely enough also turns 53. He became known to a wider audience as Deputy Sheriff Kenny Lacos in the hit series Picket Fences which is still very expensive mainly because of the episode in which Lauren Holly sports a black bikini.
And while Lauren has had other iconic roles in NCIS, Dumb & Dumber or Down Periscope when you are looking for animated GIFs of her the bikini ones from Picket Fences are predominant since her body was at its prime.
The kid in episode 14 of season 1 called Bad Moon Rising is experiencing his first wet sex dreams and his chosen subject is sheriff depute Officer Maxine Stewart who appears in lingerie, said black bikini and hockey gear.
Now on one side you wonder why he picked the town´s sheriff depute as the object of his sex dreams ( which oddly doesn´t involve handcuffs, ah, he´s probably still too young for the kinky stuff ) since that may lead to trouble once she finds out ( she does use a gun in her job ). On the other side there seems to be an episode where she posed nude for a magazine ( I don´t think they show the actual shooting ) which isn´t too far fetched keeping in mind that Lauren Holly had an incredible hardbody back then.
Most of the males in town were probably fantasizing about giving her a full cavity search and the number of juvenile delinquents shot up since all horny teenagers hoped to get strip searched by Maxine. With that in mind her three ( !!! ) sex dream sequences make more sense and surely Lauren Holly made entire generations of teenagers reach puberty ahead of time.
Now with these cult sirens I like to include animated GIFs as well as videos because the videos tend to vanish after a while. But this time I didn´t even find the full bikini scene on YouTube and had to go elsewhere. So you can at least watch this scene but there are two more hot scenes with Lauren Holly in that episode which I haven´t been able to find anywhere.
If somebody out there has seen them on YouTube or the likes please let me know and the only alternative is to cough up 23 bucks for season one.
But don´t despair, for all the poor wretches like me there is still the 2010 drama The Final Storm where Holly shows she still has a banging body.
Since I already posted cartoons from every even remotely Fantastic Four related cartoon in existence and I could not decide on any other Marvel Comics cartoon in particular I decided to simply include all of them.
I was wrecking my brain about what would be an appropriate music video when it suddenly hit me that in all the years that I have written about the Fantastic Four I never posted a video from Die Fantastischen Vier. I don´t know how big they are as comic fans but they obviously knew the fab foursome when they were still called Die Fantastischen Vier in Germany.
For the longest time I had only one Ernest video but now that I have posted it I found several and since you never know how long they are going to last on YouTube I want to get them out as fast as possible.
I want to close with one of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby´s biggest multi part epos ( where single issue stories are concerned I believe we can all agree that nothing tops This man, this monster ) The Galactus Trilogy in a video that explains the importance of this story not only for Marvel Comics.
