Goodbye Germany : at the Wild Wild West !

With nine posts still unfinished I should put all my energy on wrapping those up but at the same time I have been adding so many western related videos to those posts that I thought, why not make a spin - off post with some of these videos which might be quicker in the long run ?

Also it´s a good opportunity to continue my GOODBYE GERMANY series .

Now this is not the first time I am writing about western comics on this blog since I covered everything from DC Comics´ JONAH HEX to german western comics from my misspent youth , Jean Giraud a.k.a. Moebius BLUEBERRY , Landrömer´s KAUBOI UND KAKTUS , the many times Marvel Comics changed the original Ghost Rider´s name , Karl May´s WINNETOU , Gil Kane´s western comicbook covers , Gardner Fox´ western comicbook covers , Harvey Comics´ BLACK CAT , my post about Matt Wagner´s ZORRO and also the WILD WILD WEST movie with Will Smith in my cult siren post´s about all natural 36E ( !!! ) - 25 - 37 supreme blow up sex doll Salma Hayek .

Before we get to my usual mix of pop cultural relevant stuff, curvy cult sirens and personal favorites I have to mention a celebrity birthday that I forgot to include in my last post. Granted, since coming to Spain I have only been able to insert the anniversaries of notice sporadically but I have to mention blond Busenwunder Patricia Arquette who celebrated her 54th birthday on April the 8th. Thankfully this often overlooked brabuster nixed her plans to become a nun since she has won various awards during her career including one Oscar, three Golden Globes, two Primetime Emmy Awards, two Screen Actor Guild Awards and a British Academy Film Award.

Patricia is a hot mix of French - Canadian, Swiss, German, Jewish, English, Scottish, Irish, Welsh and Russian and when you see her all natural 38D ( !!! ) - 28 - 36 measurements you know why she was one of my first candidates in my SEARCH FOR POWER GIRL series. Although I never got to write that post. Or mention her on this blog which is why I had to include her Today.

Now usually when I include a top 5 of the best videos I start with the number 5 and work my way through to the best one but somehow things got a bit mixed up so we start with the best and then get to the rest.

Coming to the topic of Today´s post, we start with a few reading recommendations for those who have read and enjoyed LUCKY LUKE.

Not really a reading recommendation since I don´t know if I would enjoy it as much without the huge nostalgia factor but I just had to include a video about one of my favorite western series as a kid : BESSY, not Lassie.

Speaking of favorite western series, here is proof that even I don´t know everything : I thought that Winnetoonz was the first animated adaption of Winnetou but it seems there was an even earlier one. Does anybody know more about it ? The animation looks like Lou Scheimer´s Filmation.

Apropos Winnetou, Lex Barker really has done it all : Old Shatterhand, Kara Ben Nemsi Effendi, Tarzan, pirate, FBI agent and even outlaw Robin Hood.

I couldn´t include this in my - still unfinished - MASK OF THE ZORRO MONDAY WITH MATT WAGNER post because it already had a video with an anlysis of the movie. I try to avoid having two similar videos in one post.

This video serves two purposes : firstable it is a musical introduction to the next part of the bonus section but I also want to show a bit of love and moral support to Will Smith. I´m probably the only person on the planet who has not seen the Oscars since they don´t show them in Spain but what they have shown on every channel is what happened between Will Smith and Chris Rock. Which I refuse to comment until I have seen the Oscars. Whatever happened - justified or not - in my opinion most people forget too quickly what a great singer, musician and actor Will Smith is who has kept us entertained with his great performances for decades.

I have found quite a few episodes from the original WILD WILD WEST tv show on YouTube but as a comicbook fan I had to go with the one which has the original Batgirl 37C - 23 - 36 cult siren Yvonne Craig as a guest star.

Here´s the lovely Yvonne working on her tan in a clip from The Man from U.N.C.L.E. And before you go through your DVD collection this is from ONE SPY TOO MANY, a feature film version of the tv show that combined both The Alexander the Greater Affair episodes. The subplot and footage with Yvonne Craig was just shot for the film and did NOT appear on television.

Coming from the WILD WILD WEST tv show to the 1999 movie, a big part of the pull of the film was ultimate latin blow up sex doll Salma Hayek who didn´t have a sexy table dance scene like in FROM DUSK TO DAWN but apart from that wore ..... let´s face it : not too much clothing. At least in her first scenes, later on she wore a lot of fabric. I guess they needed some spicy clips for the trailer so they could get the moviegoers money.

I mean what´s the deal with designing such an lingerie outfit for Salma Hayek and then covering her up for most of the movie ? I´m not saying that well endowed actresses have to be naked all the time. They can wear something for five minutes and get naked later on which is more sexy.

No, really, in my opinion if you have an actress with a stunning physique than you have to use that if you are a good director. And you seize the opportunity if you have an oscar - winning actor like Mickey Rourke in a movie instead of giving Dennis Rodman more screentime because you want to be his buddy or you´re smoking weed together. Also I think it should be a rule in horror movies that female characters only die after they have been naked. You might think this IS a rule - especially if you have seen the SCREAM saga - but it isn´t. Trust me, I have seen dozens of horror movies were whole squads of hot, nubile chicks met their end before undressing. What a waste. And it´s the same with Salma Hayek.

Back to WILD WILD WEST Salma Hayek does have some good scenes in the movie but ultimately she´s not a very likeable or sympathetic character because she plays the helpless damsel in distress the whole movie until the end when the old, decrepit " father " Will Smith and Kevin Kline have almost died to save turns out to her virile, potent and young husband.

It´s the part of the movie that bugs me the most. I guess it´s realistic that this sweet and hot looking massita is in reality a lying, scheming woman who seduces the heroes to get what she wants and doesn´t get her deserved upcommance but I don´t have to go to the movies for that.

According to internet sources the latin sex godess´ measurements are - all natural - 36E - 25 - 37 but here it looks to be much more. Anyway, at the moment Salma is married to a rich guy who just drowned her in expensive jewelery so you know what women really want. And you can find more pictures, videos and animated GIFs with Salma in my old cult siren posts .

You may have wondered why there was a giant mechanical spider in the movie and the answer to that is simple : producer Jon Peters put it in.

He was the producer along with director Sonnenfeld and in AN EVENING WITH KEVIN SMITH, Kevin Smith talked about working with Peters on a fifth potential SUPERMAN film in 1997, revealing that Peters had three demands for the script. The first demand was that Superman is not allowed to wear the suit, the second was that Superman not fly, and the third was to have Superman fight a giant spider in the third act. After Tim Burton came on board, Smith's script was tossed away and the film was never produced due to further complications. A year later, he noted that WILD WILD WEST was released with the inclusion of a giant mechanical spider in the final act. Neil Gaiman has also said that Jon Peters insisted a giant mechanical spider be included in a film adaptation of THE SANDMAN.

To keep the western theme going - and to post something about another sexbomb with black hair and a huge rack here´s the swedish techno / folk / bluegrass band REDNEX . The group was very popular in Germany in the 90s although I have to say that I really started to like the band as soon as new front woman Julie Anne Tulley a.k.a. Scarlett joined their line up.

Wikipedia says they´re mostly known for the hit song " Cotton Eye Joe " in 1994. Although extremely popular in Germany, where the band holds the record of most total weeks ( 25 ) at No.1 on the German singles chart over the past 30 years - scoring such hits as " Old Pop in an Oak ", " The Spirit of the Hawk ” and " Wish You Were Here " - " Cotton Eye Joe " remains Rednex's sole hit in the United States. Now the real reason the Rednex are so popular in Germany is Scarlett and her bouncing action fan service.

They had another front woman with big boobs before ( a blonde ) but they really became most popular when Scarlett joined in 2001. Because they did a lot of live gigs on tv and Scarlett really knows how to shake it.

She always puts some extra effort on making her boobies bounce as they often just jump up and down to the music. In one show ( I think it was called APRES SKI HITS ) Scarlett´s huge breasts where jumping up and down so wild they almost came up to her chin. And in this instance the cameraguy even filmed it which almost never happens on german tv.

Staying in Germany - since this is a GOODBYE GERMANY post - I like to throw one of these in once in a while : videos that don´t fall into my obligatory five categories ( comicbooks, movies, tv shows, cartoons and music ) but still ties in with the topic of the post. I couldn´t find an episode of Klassiker der Weltliteratur with a western author so instead here we have a documentary about the true history of the wild wild west.

We come to a less serious version of the wild west with Vierzig Wagen Westwärts ( Forty Wagons Westwards, original title The Hallelujah Trail, spanish title The Whiskey Battle ) one of my favorite western movies.

I don´t know if it´s my favorite western movie but it´s up there with James Garner´s Auch ein Sheriff braucht Mal Hilfe ( Support Your Local Sheriff ), Jane Fonda´s Cat Balou ( that red dress as Trixie, daiiiiiiimn ! ),

the Rio Bravo / El Dorado double feature ( since it is basically the same movie ) the Magnificent Seven two parter, Terence Hill´s My Name Is Nobody ( only the first part and only with the german dubbing because they added a ton of jokes ) and a few other Terence Hill and Bud Spencer western collaborations, Sergio Leone´s The Man With No Name / Dollar trilogy, all of the Winnetou movies especially Unter Geiern with a very young Götz George and german all natural 40B - 22 - 36 Busenwunder Elke Sommer plus a few 1980s / 1990s westerns like Silverado or Young Guns.

Anyway, it´s easily in the top five and I still watch it every time it´s on tv.

It took me quite some time to find the right versions with the best quality although I am not one hunded percent sure if I got the right ones since the german version is listed as 149 minutes long and the original US version as 165 minutes long while we only have a difference of 3 minutes here.

Nevertheless I wanted to include both versions so you can see - and hear - the differences. Speaking of which, I haven´t watched the entire original US version but from what I have seen so far there are two differences.

Firstable, in the US version Donald Pleasance character is just refered to as Oracle while in the german dubbing his name is Orakel Jones. Second, the original version seems a tad more serious as in the german dubbing they felt the need to have two narrators : one who tells what the narrator in the original version tells and a second one who throws in some witty remarks and jokes. This is a practice you will experience in a lot of german dubbed movies where the german distribution company felt the original version was not funny enough and add more jokes in the dubbing. I really can´t say if that´s a good thing or a bad thing - in the case of My Name Is Nobody I tried to watch the spanish version and I just couldn´t - since I am just too used to the german dubbing which makes me clearly biased.

Apropos dubbed versions, I already posted a german episode of Hoot Kloot or how it´s called in Germany Sheriff Donnerknall ( Sheriff Thundercrack ).

This wraps up the western part of Today´s post addendum but wait - there´s more. I know that there are people out there who don´t like westerns and probably skip this entire post but for those who still soldiered through here are a few more nuggets starting with another episode from the fine folks at Ayer Nomas about another cult tv show.

Speaking of tv shows, we continue with two videos that I couldn´t fit into my PATRICK DUFFY´S MAN FROM ATLANTIS post . First up we have Journey To The Bottom Of The Sea - or how it was called in Germany Die Seaview - In geheimer Mission ( The Seaview On Secret Mission ) from 1966, a show I never knew existed. Now I swear I did not plan this but there is also an episode with Yvonne Craig as a guest star ( episode 7 from the first season called Turn Back The Clock ) and if you´re wondering why I didn´t include it the reason is that I simply couldn´t find it on YouTube. 

The title of Journey To The Bottom Of The Sea was of course borrowed from the famous book with the same title from the father of modern science fiction so our second video is the 1978 tv movie Jules Verne - Adventure In Atlantis original title The Return Of Captain Nemo.

Closing things out for Today we have one of these incredibly rare once in a lifetime YouTube finds since I didn´t even know a Beatles cartoon existed.

More Christmas funnybooks not just Marvel

As threatened in my last Christmas post here are more Christmas covers and stories and this time around we are including some stuff from the distinguished competition - like Stan Lee used to call it - and others.

Usually when I include black and white art I try to get the corresponding colored pages but I couldn´t find any from Sabrina´s Christmas Magic issue 196 so I am assuming that it originally was published in black and white.

And if it wasn´t there are at least no color pages of it to be found online.

In any case, here´s another selection of four - colored holiday cheer and I hope you have already done the majority of your Christmas shopping.

Just in time for the holidays Today´s links include some special Christmas greetings from DIVERSIONS OF THE GROOVY KIND and Heroworld´s Super Hero Catalogue with some nice art by the late Joe Kubert while MAN OF BRONZE offers up a triple threat with a special Christmas post with the guys from Big Bang Comics ( anybody remember those guys ? ), ghost stories from the 50s and last but not least a handful - and I really mean a handful - of illustrations by Carlos Pacheco of Union Jack and other heroes.

We have to cover a few days worth of celebrity birthdays starting with Wendy Hamilton who celebrated her 53rd birthday on December the 20th.

Which means that I can hit on her without coming off as creepy since we are the same age. Or at least not creepy because of any age differences.

She might still find me creepy for other reasons though. Wendy Hamilton's statuesque five foot ten inch frame was featured in the December 1991 issue of PLAYBOY magazine. Which was just the beginning since Wendy appeared in a lot of special publications and it should be no surprise that her stunning 35D - 24 - 36 measurements were featured in a few PLAYBOY videos where she showed a special talent for getting soaking Wet & Wild.

She's since followed in the footsteps of her predecessor Pamela Anderson by acting in straight to video sextaculars that feature, among many other things, her incredibly long legs ! Being a former playmate, Wendy has been nude in just about every film she has been in. Guess she's typecast as hot and naked, which is a good thing. A highlight is Ski School 2 but you have probably guessed that my favorite movie with Wendy Hamilton is The Dallas Connection a.k.a. Deadworks by cineastic mastermind Andy Sidaris .

Andy Sidaris was probably THE BEST director of action movies for adults and his cast is a WHOS´S WHO of playmates : 40DD Playmate Of The Month November 1984 Roberta Vasquez , hot 34D Page 3 girl turned sex therapist Ava Cadell , 41D Penthouse Pet Of The Year 1993 Julie Strain , Samantha Phillips, 34D Playmate Of The Month May 1994 Shae Marks , 36D Penthouse Pet Of The Month February 1993 Julie K. Smith , 34C Playmate Of The Month September 1993 Carrie Westcott or Dona Speir to name just a few.

And I just wrote a spin - off post with all the usual links to Janet Jones Gretzky and real live Power Girl Leslie Easterbrook who had the most famous scene in Police Academy 4 - Citizens on Patrol in which she emerges from a pool in a wet t - shirt. And while the obligatory Andy Sidaris actresses / playmates / sexbombs like Roberta Vasquez , Ava Cadell , brunette Cynthia Brimhall, Dona Speir , Julie Strain , Shae Marks , Julie K. Smith and Samantha Phillips are mentioned the main part is about blonde brabuster Monique Sluyter and the obligatory plethora of Tutti Frutti girls .

Now usually I just include a short part with them in the posts but this time I did a somewhat longer version so I could include all the new download links I found while writing this post. I just recently included a whole slew of new ones but those are just for compilation and mixes while these new ones are not only for entire episodes - which are always ultra rare - but for german episodes which are even rarer. Some of them even include my favorite Tutti Frutti girl ( whom you can see just below ).

These last few months I kept saying that I don´t have the time to go through the daily list of birthdays and have to rely on what I posted in previous years. So why did I do exactly that Today ? Was it because I only had a few of my usual categories covered ? Was it some sinister force at work here that is working to some dark and foreboding goal ? I have no idea. The only thing I know is that we have a new candidate for December the 20th and there is a big comicbook relation because it is none other than director Jörg Buttgereit, the creator of Captain Berlin who turns 57.

For those who have heard of the comic and think it is a hoax I can assure you it really exists and there are already 11 issues available as well as a trade that collects the first four out of print issues. Now usually I prefer to include people in this section that I have met or at least have some sort of connection. And there is one although it is work related but not in the way you might think. Some people thought that Captain Berlin would make Power Freaks competition but in reality they pander to different audiences. Captain Berlin is very much a super hero spoof and satire that treats the persons and situation comically. In Power Freaks the satire is more subtle and more centered on the state of society while the persons act in an environment where the superhero thing is treated very serious.

Anyway, while I haven´t met Jörg Buttgereit I know a little bit about him from what I know about the origins of Captain Berlin and from doing the english translation of Weissblech Comics ( the company that publishes CAPTAIN BERLIN but also such german horror series like HAMMERHARTE HORRORSCHOCKER, ZOMBIE TERROR and their newest hit ZOMBIEMAN ) NEKROMANTIK 1. Which I think is the continuation of Jörg´s cult movies Nekromantik 1 and Nekromantik 2. As for the origin of Captain Berlin, he is the brainchild of Jörg Buttgereit whose taste goes more into the trashy independent movie making direction and towards horror and gore movies.

Captain Berlin first appeared in an 11 minute super 8 short called Captain Berlin - Saviour of the World in 1982 and the cast at least had Bela B. from famous german punk rock band Die Ärzte ( The Doctors, no relation to any timetravellers from the planet Gallifrey ). There was a sequel Captain Berlin versus Hyxar in 1984 and that was it for his movie career. But some ideas are just too good to let them go to waste so in 2006 Jörg Buttgereit wrote the audio drama Captain Berlin vs Dracula that was adapted as a a theater play under the title Captain Berlin vs Hitler in 2009. They made a DVD of the play which included a comic produced by Levin Kurio and since 2013 Captain Berlin has been one of the regulars from Weissblech Comics.

Longtime readers know that one of my pet pevees on this blog is celebrating all the brave actresses who turn insufferable dreck into bearable entertainment by taking their clothes off or at least show what their Mama gave them and who don´t get enough recognition for that .

Thus I want to give a shoutout to one of the biggest movie cult sirens of my youth : sexbomb Joyce Hyser who celebrated her 63rd anniversary.

And before you ask : you don´t know Joyce Hyser, you don´t remember the movie Just One Of The Guys for which she is best known but I bet you remember this scene where she shows her incredibly big ..... talents.

In the scene she tries to convince this guy that she is really a girl but nothing works until she pops her porn star boobs out. What was missing from the movie were the consequences of this revelation. They showed some of them. But in the real world it would have been like : The good news is you managed to convince him you´re a girl. The bad news is you managed to convince him you´re a girl. Because once that guy gets an eyeful of living blow up sex doll Joyce Hyser´s huge melons she would not leave his bedroom for the next three weeks while this horny pervert tries to dicktame her, banging her brains out until she is his obedient sex slave.

Back in the 80s your best bet to see some naked breasts were screwball comedies because you knew even if the script was totally worthless and the actors without any kind of talent you were going to get boobage .

Joyce Hyser may not be famous and may not have played in the best movies but every prebubescent boy growing up in the 80s saw this movie.

And to think she almost didn´t do it. Joyce had a no nudity clause in her contract and was against showing her wonder twins especially after a female friend told her : " Honey, WITH THOSE BREASTS if you GO TOPLESS in that scene, NO ONE you meet will EVER look you INTO YOUR EYES again ." Thankfully Joyce Hyser shot the scene showing her breasts and without showing them and in the end decided that the scene didn´t work if she didn´t go topless. This is what I call " poetry in motion ".

So the thanks of an entire generation of hormone driven boys is yours for logic winning over superstition. Or naked breasts winning over whatever.

Now Joyce Hyser´s bonerinducing twin torpedoes appear in a lot of lists about the best gratuitous nude scenes in movies and in fact one person even ranked it as the number one gratuitous nude scene in movies. And while I agree that Joyce Hycer´s massive milkshakes deserve the top spot in any countdown I have to call foul on his reasoning. The reason why it has the top spot on the list is that - according to this guy - it is completely gratuitous and absolutely absurd. He claims that it is totally unnecessary for Joyce Hyser to pop out her wonderful breasts and that it would be much easier to show the guy her drivers license or ID to convince him she is a girl. Yeaah, right. I am no expert on life in America and mostly get my knowledge about that from movies, tv shows, comics and the internet.

But even I know that those documentations can be faked. So I ask you : what would convince you if a person is a guy or a girl ? Some ID that can be easily faked by teenagers as we see so often in american sping break comedies or a pair of juicy juggs like Joyce Hyser presents ? Rest my case.

We are staying with cult sirens as Jenny Agutter turned 68 who appears in such cult movies as Amazon Women On The Moon, Darkman, An American Werewolf in London and most prominently Logan´s Run. By the way, sorry for the poor quality of the GIF but it was the best where Jenny´s costume is not covered by text. I also want to mention that there are a few GIFs from the movie where she is naked so don´t get your pitchforks out yet.

As longtime readers know I have done several posts on Logan´s Run, the first one in 2011 where I covered everything from the movie to the tv series and the many comic book adaptions. And speaking of comic book adaptions as a big fan of George Perez I posted all five issues of the series he did for Marvel as well as the final two by the criminally underrated Tom Sutton ( on whom I did posts in 2017 , 2018  and this year ) to finish it up.

Which I thought would be the final post but since then I have found a lot of original art and since I don´t want to go back and put them into the old posts - which I then would have to overhaul completely - there will be a special black and white post about George Perez Logan´s Run somewhere in the future ( no pun intended ). I still hope that it will be reprinted but judging by the problems Marvel had with the movie company the first time around  I highly doubt it. And speaking about movies has there been any definite news about the remake they keep announcing for decades ?

And as usual for more celebrity birthdays from December the 20th check out my Mark Texeira tribute from 2018 and my Joe Sinnott / John Buscema double feature from 2017 . Now as I wrote earlier I went through the anniversary list again because no matter how often you do this there is always somebody you didn´t know the last time around or somebody you forgot or somebody you were too busy to include. Which is the only logical explanation that I haven´t included Reinhard Mey who celebrated his 78th birthday on December the 21st since he is one of my favorite songwriters.

There are a few other birthdays from December the 21st I could include but I´m not because time but a really big one is Jane Fonda who turned 83. I can´t believe that I haven´t done at least a feature on her because if anybody deserves to be classified as a cult siren it´s the sultry 36B - 25 - 36 sexbomb whose naked striptease in zero gravity and other sexual antics in Barbarella ignited the imagination of science fiction fans worldwide. 

What a lot of people don´t know is that the movie is based on the comic series of the same name by the late french comic artist Jean - Claude Forest and that Roger Vadim was a huge comic fan. Which is the reason that he made the movie in the first place. Though the movie was initially a flop it became a cult film after it´s second release and has had a really big influence in pop culture as the 80s band Duran Duran named themselves after the movie´s villain Dr. Durand Durand and even Kylie " Die Geile " Minogue referenced the film´s opening sequence in her video Put Yourself In My Place. The comic on which the movie was based came out in 1962 and was first published in the french V - Magazine and later as stand alone books. Barbarella was quite groundbreaking and became known as the first adult comic book. Originally Brigitte Bardot and italian mega sex goddess Sophia Loren were approached for the title role which ultimately went to juicy Jane Fonda.

Speaking of roles that went to different actresses as originally planned, one of my favorite movies that is not as often on tv as it used to be but what you can still see from time to time is the The Great Race called The Great Race Around The World in Germany ( Das große Rennen rund um die Welt ) with Natalie Wood as Maggie Dubois, Tony Curtis as The Great Leslie and Jack Lemon as evil Professor Fate. By the way, is it just me or does Natalie Wood sound like a totally legit pornstar name ? Peter Falk who is best known as Columbo plays Profesor Fate´s henchmen Maximilian Meen and as an interesting fact Denver Pyle whom we all love from The Dukes Of Hazard with busty 36C - 25 - 35 brunette Catherine Bach plays the Sheriff.

Also originally Robert Wagner was supposed to play the lead but because he had recently divorced Natalie Wood they went with Tony Curtis. Natalie wasn´t the first choice for the role of Maggie Dubois either but they gave her the part after Lee Remick declined and Jane Fonda decided to walk off to the western comedy Cat Ballou. Of which the only thing I remembered was Jane Fonda wearing a stunning red dress as torridly tittylating Trixie.

Okay, I also remembered that Lee Marvin was schizophrenic in that movie.

Or at least I thought so because when I first saw the movie I didn´t quite get that he was supposed to be two guys. I thought it was kind of the Superman III thing where the good part fought the evil part. Now I know that he´s playing two roles and he even got an Oscar for it. I think Jane deserved one too just for filling out that red dress so well and I wonder if she wasn´t the inspiration for another buxom cult sexbomb in a red dress.

Coming back to The Great Race, initially the movie was a flop and it is known for having the biggest pie fight in movie history. The whole family would always watch it and what impressed me most as a little boy was naturally when Natalie Wood rips up her clothes and tries to escape as she spends the majority of the rest of the movie in nothing but underwear.

Despite it´s initial failure The Great Race is one of the classic Hollywood films and it´s one of the movies I still watch even if I have already seen it a hundred times. Naturally I know only the german dubbing and the thing that first comes to mind even before " Das soll mir der Große Leslie erst nachmachen. "  is Jack Lemon shouting " Max ! Drück auf´s Knöpfchen ! "

A lot of other actresses auditioned for the role and while I could definitely see Demi Moore in that part ( who is the number one in my Top Movie Stripteases thanks to her spectacular performance in Striptease ) or even Kim Basinger, Michelle Pfeiffer, Geena Davis, Rosanna Arquette, Madonna, Jennifer Jason Leigh and possibly Lea Thompson or Sharon Stone I thank God that it wasn´t given to Emma Thompson, Melanie Griffith, Debra Winger, Anette Benning or Joan Cusak.

And since there are no other candidates that I want to mentions this means we have wrapped up the birthdays for Today.

Today´s Christmas video is from The Life And Times Of Grizzly Adams or like it is called in Germany The Man In The Mountains ( Der Mann in den Bergen ). I guess the guys who translated the title must have been Tolkien fans and as it so happens the aforementioned Denver Pyle played one of the main characters, Mad Jack on the show. Just hearing the title song brings back so many memories. God, I love that show. No disrespect to Today´s tv series but they just don´t make tv shows like this anymore.

Speaking about tv entertainment here is a video that explains a lot of the differences between watching tv in Germany and watching tv in America and I guess I have to post all of my videos about life in Germany in the next months because once I have to leave the country it will be a moot point. I don´t think I will write as much about Germany once that happens although german comicbooks might be the exception. Boy, I have no idea what I will do with all my Weissblech comicsbooks. I have the complete collection of Hammerharte Horrorschocker and some of them may even be very valuable because a lot of issues are out of print. Well, we´ll see.

In our last post we had some of the best examples of animation so it´s only fair that in this post we have some of the worst. Although it´s still better than the abomination that followed Earth´s Mightiest Heroes.

I got the sneaking suspicion that comicbooks are underrepresented in this section so here is the Artist´s Edition of Gene Colan´s Dracula. Last year I was thinking about buying this but I waited too long and when I had finally made up my mind it wasn´t available anymore. But right now I´m glad I did not buy it because I already have three Artist´s Edition and one Artifact Edition ( Artist´s Editions contain complete issues while Artifact Editions only have certain pages from several issues ) and I don´t know if I can keep any of them. They are pretty big and hefty so transporting them would be very difficult but they were pretty expensive as they cost an arm and a leg in Germany. Plus as far as I could find out they don´t sell them in Spain. So if I want to have any I will have to take them with me.

One thing I can look forward to are the hot masssitas in Spain like Cristina Pedroche who always comes up with a mindblowing dress for the grape eating ceremony when the bells ring in the New Year. At least she´s still doing it since I somehow missed it last year. But I did catch her dress from the year before that which probably even gave the Oscar statue a boner.

But being serious for a moment besides being mas bueno que el pan as we say in Spain it´s the fact that she can be funny and awkward fan - girling about her favorite actor or soccer team but also is a good sport and has no problem showing her sexy side by re - enacting Salma Hayek´s table dance from the movie From Dusk Till Dawn ( in full costume !!! ) or wearing a special dress to celebrate the new year that has made her so popular. 

Originally I wanted to include Park Kiyoung´s rendition of O Holy Night to show that I´m not only a k - pop fan because of the sexually charged live performances and the pornstar bodies of the idols and that they have real singing chops but it is blocked and you can only watch it on YouTube .

So instead we are staying in Spain with another lady who has great singing chops : Monica Naranjo.
