TALES FROM THE KRYPTONIAN: Happy Fourth Of July with Wonder Woman !

Well, this post combines two firsts : my first official Fourth Of July post and my first post about Gene Colan's memorable WONDER WOMAN run.

Okay, this is not the first post that I write at the date of July the 4th but it is one of the few because somehow this date never seems to work out.

And as far as posts that are specifically for this holiday go there are many I planned but for some reason or other they never came through.

So this is the first post that I am doing for Independence Day and at first I wanted to do a post with Captain America because what could be more patriotic than that ? But I had already used most of my Captain America material on my recent spotlight post on Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting's iconic CAPTAIN AMERICA run that introduced us to the Winter Soldier.

And the remaining Captain America material was not of such a quality that it would be up to the usual standard of the posts here. Luckily I had just collected a lot of WONDER WOMAN material since I mentioned 38D - 23 - 37 Busenwunder Lynda Carter in my tribute to Dick Dillin's run on JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA so I went for another patriotic heroine.

Initially I wanted to do a follow up on my spotlight post on William Messner - Loebs and Mike Deodato Jr's famous - or infamous - run on WONDER WOMAN in which Diana has to relinquish the title of Wonder Woman to Artemis but gets a nifty skin tight black leather hooker outfit.

Yeah, you know the one I am talking about.

Anyway, that was what I was initially was aiming for but as I kept finding more and more original art from Gene Colan's all too short tenure on the book the direction of the post started changing. By the way, just to make things more difficult Google added a new wrinkle to the picture search.

As if things were not complicated enough it does not let me access the result of the searches directly. Whenever it shows the results the main picture is blurred and when I try to access the picture directly it sends me to a tiny version of the picture. If I click on the smaller pictures in the " also ran " section it shows them perfectly and I can access them without any problem so when I want to open a picture I have to click on another random picture below and hope it leads me to a page that has the picture I originally wanted so it can lead me back to where I wanted to go in the first place. Sounds only half as complicated as it is and it is a miracle I managed to prepare the necessary material for this on time.

Speaking about time : Deja Vu. The strange feeling that you have seen, heard, experienced, done something before or been something before.

In this case it is post original art pages of WONDER WOMAN 300 by Gene Colan since it involves Jack Kirby's SANDMAN but after checking my posts about Neil Gaiman's SANDMAN comicbook series I could not find any of those pages in the posts. Or any other post - be it SANDMAN or Gene Colan related. So either I did not write that or I did and just can't find it.

It's a moot point anyway since I could not find any original art from that issue this time around. As longtime followers of the blog know I am a big admirer of Gene Colan's work - although it took me some time to warm up to his style - and as far as I know the only collection of this material is a spanish edition that came out decades ago. I did not buy it back then and I don't know if I would still have it because the two hardcovers of JOVENES TITANES - THE NEW TEEN TITANS - were among the books I had to sell while I still have the first hardcover of the late Norm Breyfogle's ( another of my favourite Batman artist right after the late great Jim Aparo so check out my post on issue 170 of THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD ) run on the Batman books and Gene Colan's JEMM, SON OF SATURN since they stayed in Spain. One last thing before we come to the rest of the Gene Colan art I selected for this post, for all those " key " collectors out there while issue 288 is the first regular WONDER WOMAN issue with the new creative team the very first appearance of the bold new direction was in a preview comic that was included in DC COMICS PRESENTS 41 akin to the preview comic of THE NEW TEEN TITANS by Marv Wolfman and George Perez that was included in DC COMICS PRESENTS issue 26.

One period ( no pun intended ) in Wonder Woman's history I still hope to cover at some point is her infamous mod squad era ( I am waiting until I have enough original art for a full blown post ) during which Diana lost her super powers and subsequentially quit the Justice League of America , got a rad new all white suit ( it was not really that rad ) covering most of her bonerinducing pornbody, was trained in martial arts by a chinese master and became kind of an injternational super spy ( they did the same thing decades later when they didn't know what to do with Dick Grayson outside of the Batman universe although I think they had more success with NIGHTWING SUPER SPY or however the series was called ).

Well, during that time Wonder Woman also became the owner of a mod boutique and if you want to know more about how all of this came about fear not true believers because your faithful friend Brian Cronin over at COMIC BOOK RESOURCES got you covered as the examines the whole sordid affair in this new instalment of his series " Working For A While ".

By the way, if you wonder why you may have never heard of Wonder Woman's sexy super spy phase the whole thing did not go over to well with the female audience who didn't appreciate the idea of female empowerment by depowering Wonder Woman and have her learn a new skill set to be a heroine without relying on her god - given super powers.

To the majority of female readers the crux of the story was that they have fewer role models in comicbooks than men and now they are taking one of their biggest heroines and stripping away her powers ? Anyway, the powers that be at DC Comics at that time decided that this new direction was not working and after selling her mod boutique Wonder Woman's chinese martial arts instructor was killed off and Diana got amnesia and conveniently forgot everything about that time of her life returning to thye classic status quo. As I said, I am still hoping to cover this story since - at least - the original arts pages look very interesting.

As a special treat for my faithfuls I am including a crossover episode between Xena : Warrior Princess and Hercules : The Legendary Journeys and I have mentioned it in previous posts but at first I was not so keen on Kevin Sorbo for the role of Hercules. Don't get me wrong, he seems to be an okay nice guy who is decent looking but if I saw him somewhere the first thing that would come to my mind would not be : " That guy looks like Hercules. " It wasn't until I saw him on a talk show where he said that he also thought that he was not right for the role but since they all insisted that he would be perfect for the role he wasn't going to say no to a huge wad of cash an a tv series contract for at least a few years.

This immediately earned him more respect with me and I want to use this space to give a shoutout to Kevin Sorbo for being one of the few real men left in Hollywood who not only has not succumbed to the SJW and QTLGBLMAA ( my german readers know what the last four letters stand for ) incessant brainwashing but actually dares to speak up against it.

Of course he was immediately shot down by the feminazis, gender police and SJW propaganda machine because while they propagate that they are all for diversity that does not extend to the principles of democracy.

Which is what we used to live in. Remember ? A system where you had to allow viewpoints that don't agree with your own set of values ? Like all the normal people had to accept the values of homo sexuals, lesbians, gays, trans gender etc ? Well, it seems that it doesn't work in the other direction and now " other " viewpoints are only allowed when they align with whatever the SJW overlords allow. Longtime followers of the blog know that I can't write about Hercules : The Legendary Journeys without mentioning buffed blonde built 40C - 27 - 37 body Corinna Kneuer a.k.a. Cory Everson who is the sister of fitness sexbomb Cameo Kneuer. Besides being another candidate in my famous SEARCH FOR POWER GIRL series requested by a reader ( which may have something to do with her attire of choice while working out, OMFG !!! ) Cory Everson is an accomplished female bodybuilding champion who won the Miss Olympia contest six ( ! ) years in a row, from 1984 up until 1989.

She also appeared in movies like Double Impact with Jean - Claude Van Damme, Natural Born Killers or Ballistic and a plethora of tv series most notably 3 episodes of Hercules : The Legendary Journeys as Atalanta, one of the many hot sexbombs that made watching the show bearable.

Because in episode 16 of season 2 called " Let The Games Begin " Cory plays the role of hot MILF aunt. Her nephew Damon is the typical bored juvenile delinquent who doesn´t pay his aunt Atalante much attention - until she not only turns out to be an old acquaintance of Hercules but a total sexbomb. Which is revealed when during an attack her robes are ripped off to reveal her chiseled boner - inducing physique that is only barely covered by what looks like a cross between a greek battle suit for Aphrodite and a special sado maso outfit right from Victoria´s Secret.

This immediately jumpstarts not only Damon´s puberty but also his sexual obsession with his hot aunt. Which tells us two things. One, the idea of having sex with your aunt may be older than we think and two, while being a lazy juvenile delinquent in training he's not a peeping Tom.

Because you know that if Damon had spotted Atalante soaping up her playmate bikin body under the shower he would have spent all his time trying to get her drunk enough to tie her to his bed and bang her brains out six ways to Sunday. Keeping in mind that he´s at that age when you can stay hard for days he would have a field day / week dicktaming his busty aunt with his giant monstercock until she is his obedient sex slave.

He would not know his own strength and a less experienced girl would be seriously hurt but with Atalante being in the peak physical condition she is in she would not only remain unharmed but even moreso enjoy getting slam - fucked many positions in by her nephew´s relentless horsecock.

The plot of the episode is that Hercules and Atalante initiate the olympic games to end the battles between the Spartans and the Eleans so Damon pretends to be interested in the games. But it´s all a ploy to check out his aunt like in the scene where they arm wrestle and he loses because Damon is too busy staring down her cleavage, drooling over her boobs.

Staying with the small screen we have another batch of five - supposedly - forgotten tv shows. Let's see, I'm pretty sure I mentioned the Starman tv show once or twice but the episodes either get deleted or are of very low quality, I mentioned the Ferris Bueller tv show especially the fact that it was so much worse than Parker Lewis Can't Loose of which I am a huge fan, you can find the first episode of the Blue Thunder tv show in the aforementioned Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting CAPTAIN AMERICA post , there is a super long section in my GOODBYE GERMANY : THE LEGION OF SUPER - HEROES post about Weird Science - the original EC Comics comicbook, the movie and the tv show - and while I didn't write that much about Fast Times At Ridgemont High in my WEISSBLECH COMICS spotlight post there is a super extended part in the bonus section about the breakout star of that movie 35C - 25 - 35 russian / chinese / fillipino / american cult siren Phoebe Cates who cemented her status as one of the biggest sexbombs of the 80s with her famous topless scene in that movie and to a lesser extent her bonerinducing nude scenes in Paradise.

Which may or may not be the reason the WEISSBLECH post was slapped with an age restriction that I still have not been able to get lifted off.

Maybe once I don't have as many unfinished posts I will give it another try posting the parts slowly and seeing how far we come. Anyway, it feels like I have already covered all the shows in this video in some shape or form which does not mean that we will not return to the subject once I have something new to say about it. But for now just enjoy the video.

With so many videos about the gods I would be amiss if I didn't include british pop group Bananarama with Venus which is a cover version of dutch rock band Shocking Blue - and probably the best known cover version - with what must be the sexiest She - Devil ( or maybe succubus as one may hope or better deepthroatis nymphomanius ) in pop history.

We are continuing the theme of greek mythology with a more classic version of Hercules with Lou Ferrigno best known as Doctor David ( sigh ) Banner's raging alter ego in the Incredible Hulk tv show with Bill Bixby.

The main appeal of the movie is of course brabusting 42C - 22 - 38 sex symbol and Andy Sidaris actress Sybil Danning who is making her second appearance on Videobuck, the first one being The Howling II : Your Sister Is A Werewolf on which I did a little feature in my latest tribute post to DC Comics iconic horror anthologies that includes some GIF of her and her bonerinducing boob flash that was repeated 17 ( !!! ) times during the movie's end credits screen crawl - without Miss Danning's consent.
