This Dale Keown This Monster Monday - 3

I have just finished putting all the material I needed for my last posts away which means that usually I would take a time out before starting the next one. But going through the list of birthdays since my last post I came upon Dale Keown who celebrated his 57th birthday on the 23rd of July and I still have a lot of original artwork left from when I last wrote a post about him.

As you can see by the title of this post this is already my third spotlight on Dale Keown´s work on Peter David´s historic run on THE INCREDIBLE HULK which means I don´t have to write much about Peter David since I already did so in the first two chapters ( and other assorted posts about Marvel Comic´s green skinned giant ) as well as in my post about his CAPTAIN MARVEL series . Which means we can jump right to the good stuff.

Now going through the posts you might notice that some pages from one issue may be in different posts and the reason for that is that while I try to put as many pages from one issue in one post I also always try to post the best pages I have. So in some cases I may skip some pages from a certain issue in favor of some that have a better quality or some that I like better. In other cases I just find the pages after I have already done the post. Anyway, I hope this post is not too confusing and that Disney finally starts reprinting these issues - may it be as Epic Collections or as omnibus.

Yes, I know, with the last two pieces the black and white art doesn´t match the color version but that´s because it´s an unused cover design.

Longtime readers know that I like to throw them in from time to time and indeed I have enough material lined up for an entire post on unpublished covers. If I only can find the time to write it. Speaking of long times, this is my 1055th post ( although with the five spin - off posts I have made so far it is in the list a post number 1060 ) which makes me think that it is way past due that I made another BEST OF THE BEST post. But like with the post about unpublished covers I just can´t find the time to go over all the posts since my last eclectic essay of excellency. It´s a miracle that I can go over some of the old posts and replace some of the videos as it is.

Anyway, that is one of the reasons why I am including so many links to old posts ( even though I have no idea if anybody really uses them ) and speaking of that, any new readers who have stumbled upon my humble blog recently might want to go back and read my two posts about Todd McFarlane´s run on The Incredible Hulk with Peter David where I have gone into more detail about my thoughts on it. And since I already mentioned the spin - off posts, initially I had the idea to have them continue in chronological order from the main post so you can read them in one go. But then I can´t put them at the proper dates which is very confusing when I write the birthday list next year. Plus while I tried to make them short they have become very long - as usual - and I don´t think you can get more than three posts on one page anyway. So while it was a nice idea it doesn´t really work. But for those who want to read them in the chronological order I have also included them in the list of this post.

Since I wrote my last post on July the 13th we have a much shorter list of celebrity birthdays to cover - which is why we only have five spin - off posts this time. Speaking of which we have the first one on July the 14th and in it we cover Jeff Jarrett´s ( 52 ) and Leon Boden´s ( 61 ) birthdays.

Naturally I can´t have those two without mentioning puppy president Debra Michaels or Die Rote Meile sexbombs Yasmina Filali and Sylvia Leifheit. Beside that the post also features the five worst promotional comics, a performance by the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, 41E cosplay sexbomb Angie Griffin, a review of Disney´s live action Kim Possible movie, an episode of Cool McCool, all out wrestling action with Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner, Curt Henning, Buff Bagwell, Midajah O´Hearn and Tylene Buck as well as a short tribute to the WWE Diva Ashley Massaro.

It´s back to comic related birthdays as Brian Austin Green had his 46th anniversary on the 15th of July since he played Metallo on Smallville.

He also was on Desperate Housewives with Teri Hatcher who played Lois on Lois & Clark - The New Adventures of Superman, Terminator : The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Saved By The Bell : The College Years with Tiffany Amber Thiessen with whom he was later romantically involved - on and off screen - in Beverly Hills 90210. Now usually I would go into the whole cult siren schtick but since we already had Teri Hatcher in this recent spin - off post and the entire trifecta of Tiffany Amber Thiessen, Elizabeth Berkley ( who celebrated her 47th birthday on July the 28th  ) and Tori Spelling in this spin - off post we are going to skip it for Today.

80s sex symbol Brigitte Nielsen turned 56 and I already mentioned her in the first post about italian pop sensation Sabrina Salerno. She was one of the busty centerfolds who tried to turn her notoriety into vinyl gold.

So she wanted to cash in on that popularity and tried her luck together with Falco from Vienna best known for his worldwide number 1 single ROCK ME AMADEUS. They sang BODY NEXT TO BODY although Brigitte Nielsen´s real contribution to the video clip was shaking her enourmous moneymakers in a little black shirt that was barely bigger than a napkin.

I remember staying up late at night way beyond my bedtime to secretly tape the video because they didn´t show it on tv before midnight.

As we all know Brigitte starred in Red Sonja which was even worse than the second Conan movie but she almost got the role of She Hulk as New Line Cinema had her pose for pictures. The movie never came to pass which was probably for the best as was a tv pilot where they cast Gabrielle Reece as She Hulk and Mitzi Kapture as Jennifer Walters.

Terry O´Quinn celebrated his 67th birthday who appeared on Alias, The X - Files and JAG with Catherine Bell, a.k.a.  the juggs of J.A.G. by her fans.

So far I haven´t gotten around to do a solo post on Catherine but she has been a candidate in my Casting the Justice League of America Movie series, this time as Catwoman in the Hollywood edition. Which is a bit weird since Catherine Bell has outed herself as a lesbian. Although as openly oversexed as DC has been the last few years it wouldn´t surprise me if they made her bi - sexual. I mean, she always had a thing for pussies when you think about it. As for Catherine Bell, I have the feeling that I am always writing the same things but I don´t think her mega successful The Good Witch has hit Germany yet, neither the movies nor the tv series.

Terry really lucked out with female co - stars with korean knockout Grace Park who strutted her stuff on Hawaii Five O after playing the toaster every guy would love to use for breakfast in bed on Battlestar Galactica.

One of the things that always bugged me on Battlestar Galactica was the idea that the humans created the cylons. Although it would explain why two of the models were such hot sexbombs like Tricia Helfer and Grace Park. On the other side the cylons would never had to go to war against the humans because if you have an unlimited amount of copies of Tricia Helfer and Grace Park there is no male human who can resist you. I guess those toasters were still lacking in basic knowledge about horny humans.

Because there was an episode of Third Rock From The Sun where they tried to gain control of the world´s governments by sending in a squad of women who all looked like hot swimsuit models and when you have seen this episode and know that the toasters on Galactica have hot models like Tricia Helfer and Grace Park it makes the whole war against humanity and death to humans and violence thing seem unnecessary and over the top.

Speaking about Grace Park, right now they are showing the episodes of Hawaii Five - O without her and Daniel Dae Kim in Germany. And I have really tried to give the new team a chance but it´s just not the same.

We really cover a lot of my favorite tv series in this post ( I´m almost tempted to give the video section its own post because it just keeps getting longer and longer ) and we couldn´t forget Airwolf which really should be part of the english vocabulary. The main lead was Jan - Michael Vincent who must have had one of the most incredible names on tv ever as Stringfellow Hawke. He played opposite the late Ernest Borgnine who portrayed Stringfellow´s friend Dominic Santini and sadly Jan - Michael Vincent passed away in February. He also co - starred with 90s soft sex icon Shannon Whirry in Animal Instincts but we will return to her later.

One of my pet pevees on this blog is celebrating all the brave actresses who turn insufferable dreck into bearable entertainment by taking their clothes off or at least show what their Mama gave them and who don´t get enough recognition for that . So I want to give a shout out to Helene Phillips, who played the exotic dancer who gets killed so Belinda Bauer is brought in. Now some people take the fact that Helene´s character gets offed as reinforcement that women with big breasts only get roles where they get killed off quickly while the flatchested girls have larger roles but Belinda´s character also gets killed. Oy, she DOES have more screen time.

Those who are interested in the other celebrity birthdays from July the 14th and 15th can find them in this post and a much smaller selection here . Continuing with our completely random and subjective countdown we have Phoebe Cates who turned 65 on July the 16th and who made a lasting impression on teenaged Subzero when she did the full monty in Paradise, a movie that was trying to cash in on the success of The Blue Lagoon with 80s star Brooke Shields ( about which you can read more in this post ).

If you haven´t seen Paradise you MUST check it out ! Phoebe Cates nude scenes alone are worth the price of admission as it is the only film where she did full on nudity apart from her famous scene in Fast Times At Ridgemont High where she comes out of a pool and takes her top off.

This version has a very low quality and some very annoying voice overs ( you can´t really call it a dubbed version because you can still hear the original english sound underneath ) but I´m including it for those who haven seen the movie yet. Enjoy it while it lasts as these disappear fast.

Next we have the 65th birthday of J. Michael Straczynski on the 17th of July and I already made the list of his must read series in a previous post.

To the wider public he is best known for the sci fi series Babylon 5 which I didn´t like as much as Star Trek Deep Space 9 which aired in Germany not only around the same time but also in the same time slot. So we had to decide which series we would watch and which we would tape to see it later and we always chose Star Trek Deep Space 9. At least Babylon 5 gave us the opportunity to see Tracy Scoggins ( who also played Cat Grant in the Lois & Clark - The New Adventures of Superman show ) in underwear.

We didn´t have as much luck with Claudia Christian who also was on the show but we can always enjoy her fantastic striptease from The Hidden.

David Hasselhoff turned 67 and he always was a big star in Germany since his hit series KNIGHT RIDER and BAYWATCH practically aired back to back here. The part with BAYWATCH has become a little longer than expected but since I already have two recent BAYWATCH spin - off posts ( links below ) I am trying everything I can to keep this part in the main post.

BAYWATCH was really big in the 90s and it is like THE ultimate babe tv show. No kidding. No other show had more actresses who were featured in Playboy or playmates. If there was a hot babe during the time the show was produced you can bet that she´s in - at least - one of the episodes.

David Hasselhoff is my hero for putting hot babes like nubian sex goddess Traci Banghim on prime time television even though he never took them up on various casting couch sex offers ( at least that´s what he says ).

Well, if that´s true he was probably the only one who didn´t get any as buxom blonde Pamela Anderson paints a different picture of the set of Baywatch in an article from 2003 . Pam admitted having steamy sex liaisons with all of her hunky lifeguard co - stars and often enjoyed some sextra - curricular activities with her cast mates in their trailers." I dicktamed all male cast members at least once. Heck, with the ultimate porn star body I had back then I could have any man I wanted and I used my fellow co - star David Chokachi like a breeding stallion. I vented all my nymphomanic deepthroat urges on him and literally turned him into a sex freak. Just ask Carmen Elektra, whom he used as his personal blow up sex doll during her short tenure on BAYWATCH. But everybody was having sex behind the trailers, in the trailers, around the trailers. " Colleague Geena Lee Nolin adds the cast's motto was " If the trailer's rocking, don't come knocking. "

People always wondered if there was a rivalry between Erika Eleniak and Pamela Anderson and if that was the reason Erika Eleniak left the show.

There are two different versions of the story but I think this article from Jake Davis on FETCH SPORT - which also takes an in depth look at Erika Eleniak´s life and career - comes closest to the truth. According to Pamela Anderson when she auditioned for the role of Jordan Tate in UNDER SIEGE Steven Seagal wanted to put her body to the test on the casting couch.

" When he saw me rehearsing the part where Jordan comes out of the cake he insisted on me giving him a personal strip show. He changed my costume to two strings of fabric thinner than shoe laces and after he got a huge erection in his pants he made me strip naked and wanted to act out a sex scene with me that was not in the script. And when I didn´t want to do it he told me that the next girl would get the role instead. "

" I refused but Steven Seagal convinced Erika Eleniak to let him use her as his personal blow up sex doll during the entire shooting of the movie. He fucked her brains out six ways to Sunday, That´s how she got the role."

Erika Eleniak for her part denies these wild sex orgies ever happened.

" I learned a lot on that shoot watching Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Busey work. It was a hard shoot and I spent many long hours in Steven´s trailer. Yes, he was merciless drilling me but not during sweaty fuck marathons that lasted all night long where he relentlessly pounded every orifice of my body. We were just rehearsing scenes not sex scenes that were more explicit than porn movies. All these rumors that Steven tried to break me in with his giant member are just a product of Pamela Anderson´s sick fantasy. But it still was an incredible learning experience for me. "

Now you have to ask yourself if a skin flick regular like Pamela Anderson who openly admitted to have banged the entire male BAYWATCH cast silly - off camera - really would have a problem milking Steven Seagal dry. On the other hand it is a difference if you vent your uncontrollable nymphomanic urges on a well hung male co - star or let yourself be used by a sleazy actor / producer as his personal sex slave for the duration of a movie shooting.

What lends further credibility to Pamela Anderson´s claim is that Steven Seagal is well known for trying to get sexual favors from female co - star.

The aforementioned Shannon Whirry - for instance - had her acting debut in Out For Justice and it´s no stretch to assume that the naturally stacked softcore sexbomb who later became famous for doing it for real with her male co - stars on camera like in her movie Ringer had to spread her legs like a professional prostitute and pump Steven´s schlong to get the role.

And for more on such baywatchable babes like Erika Eleniak ( who is of course most famous for her incredibly steamy striptease in UNDER SIEGE ), Krista Allen ( best remembered for getting her freak on as french blow up sex doll EMANUELLE in 8 made for tv movies ) or natural born go go dancer Carmen Elektra check out my latest BAYWATCH SPIN - OFF POSTS.

Coming back to David Hasselhoff and comicbooks besides of having the dubious honor of being the last actor who played the original white Nick Fury in a movie there is a second and not so obvious connection to Marvel Comics. According to The Official Handbook To The Marvel Universe the Beyonder based his physical appearance in Secret Wars II on Steve Rogers a.k.a. Captain America. I´m not so sure if he did not also use somebody else as an inspiration for what the peak of physical perfection looks like.

You can find more celebrity birthdays from July the 16th up until July the 20th in this post while we come to our second spin - off. On July the 19th Jenny Poussin celebrated her 34th birthday whom I cast as one of my Supergirls in my CASTING THE JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA MOVIE series.

So I took the opportunity to write about all the things involving Supergirl that I wanted to address since my last post about DC´s Maiden of Steel .

Which includes the fact that Silver Age Superman first was a Superdick to Supergirl then tried to tame her with his Superdick, the writers had weird obsession with the Super Pets and especially Supergirl´s date with her Super Horse. There is also issue 160 of The Brave And The Bold by Cary Burkett and Jim Aparo ( which I thought I had already posted ) in which Batman teams up with Supergirl. Speaking about super girls, the post also features Audrey Landers who turned 63 on the 18th of July and her sister Judy Landers ( daimn, if they had cast them as Kara Zor - El and her twin sister Lara Zor - El that would have been an awesome Supergirls movie ), MAD and Little Annie Fanny creator Harvey Kurtzman, living Power Girl Amy Jackson, the obsure italian superhero movie Argoman and last but not least a review of the fantastic Legion of Super - Heroes cartoon show.

We are staying with DC Comics as none other than inker supreme Romeo Tanghal turned 76 on the 21st of July. Now I know that he worked on other series but for me Romeo´s first and foremost linked to one of my favorite series ( which is not only one of the best Bronze Age series but in my opinion one of the best comicbook series of all time PERIOD ) THE NEW TEEN TITANS, written by Marv Wolfman and penciled by George Perez.

I have written a lot of posts about that series and so it should surprise no one that when I wrote a post for Roemeo Tanghal in 2018 it was about that seminal book. Speaking of which, newer visitors to the blog should also check out my latest post about THE NEW TEEN TITANS since it includes a lot of links to previous posts on the subject. And yes, I still hope to write my DEATH IN COMICS : THE DEATH OF TERRA spotlight one of these days.

Once again you can find more celebrity birthdays from July the 21st here and from July the 21th and the 22st here which brings us to our third spin - off post with some choice anniversaries from July the 23rd and 24th.

Keeping the DC Comics motif going it is mainly about Wonder Woman ( with some original WONDER WOMAN art by Jose Delbo ) and Lynda Carter ( with appearances on MIKE HAMMER and RITA HAYWORTH - GODDESS OF LOVE ) but also includes tv cult bikini 34D sexbomb Charisma Carpenter , Kelley Jones ( who worked on DEADMAN and BATMAN ), cult siren Demi Moore ( who is the number one in my Top 10 Movie Stripteases thanks to her spectacular performance in Striptease ), ultimate latin MILF Rosie Perez and an episode of the show Musikladen with a surprising revelation.

If you have soldiered on this far I got good news : we only have two more spin off - posts to go. In fact it would have been just one but it was too long so I had to do what I usually try to avoid : put the birthdays from one day into two posts. In this case it is July the 27th and the first part includes such cult sirens like repentant born for porn blow up sex doll Alyssa Milano , mega stacked italian 39D mega MILF Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Jack Kirby´s Mister Miracle and Big Barda, british 90s porn superstar Sarah Louise Young , überbusty Juliana A. Morgan who is not a porn star despite her giant sized rack which helped her break the internet with the What Is A Turnaround ? commercial and Luan Peters revealing her bonerinducing 42 ( ! ) inch bust in her erotic dance in Pacific Banana a.k.a. Banana Airlines.

The second part is the reason why I had to cut it since it has a very long part about blonde brabuster Monique Sluyter and the usual plethora of Tutti Frutti girls . Now usually I just include a short part with them in the posts but this time I did a somewhat longer version so I could include all the new download links I found while writing this post. I just recently included a whole slew of new ones but those are just for compilation and mixes while these new ones are not only for entire episodes - which are always ultra rare - but for german episodes which are even rarer . Some of them even include my favorite Tutti Frutti girl ( you can see her below ).

There are also the also Andy Sidaris playmates like Becky Mullen in it which is the reason why I wanted to keep the BAYWATCH part here. With Becky Mullen you have two connections to BAYWATCH - she was on the show and an episode of Married With Children with Pamela Anderson - so if I had to cut her part with the Tutti Frutti girls I wanted to at least have the BAYWATCH part here so I don´t have to link one part here and the other part there. Coming back to the last spin - off post it also features real live Power Girl Leslie Easterbrook who had the most famous scene in Police Academy 4 - Citizens on Patrol in which she emerges from a pool in a wet t - shirt , Ernie Chan ( who worked on WONDER WOMAN and BATMAN ), more X - Men character who were totally misrepresented in the movies, the manga classic Blade Of The Immortal and its adaption as an anime series and a live action movie, an unknown japanese girl group with more bikini bouncing action than you can shake a stick at and what may be the most innovative and at the same time weirdest commercial from Japan.

Choosing the videos for these posts is always difficult especially when you have written about a certain topic a few times. Which doesn´t get easier if you haven´t read a series in a long time as happens with me and THE INCREDIBLE HULK. The last time I read that book on a regular basis was when they introduced the Red Hulk and I stopped reading when Ross Hulk took center stage. I have stayed away from the Amadeus Cho / Frank Cho TOTALLY NEUTERED HULK BOY as well as the HULK OF S.H.I.E.L.D. and WOLVERINE HULK but it seems that somebody at Marvel has managed to write a good Hulk series without the powers that be at Disney noticing.

Something I have been writing a lot about in my last few posts are animes, mangas or lesser known comic book series that have been adapted as live action movies and Today´s entry is the classic Kiki´s Delivery Service from Ghibli Studios. Like most of the animes from that production company it´s a movie you can watch again and again and again. In fact, I just re - watched it on tv a week ago although I already had seen it two weeks before that in preparation for the live action version. But there were a few things I didn´t remember and I just kept watching. What I can´t figure out is why YouTube picked such an unfortunate preview picture.

One thing I liked about the live action movie is that it is not just the same movie but with actors. Because who wants to see the same movie twice ?

They have a story that is a bit different and before Studio Ghibli purists start crying : " How dare they make changes to a timeless classic ? " as far as I understand it the anime is an adaption of a novel so there may also be some changes that were made to the story from the book to the anime.

Staying with eastern here is another blast from the past. Most of the tv shows I talked about in this post are from the 80s. Well, this one goes even further back to the early 70s. Before Tiger & Dragon, before Jackie Chan, yes, even before Bruce Lee german kids got their martial arts action with The Rebels of Liang Shan Po or Suikoden which was the original title.

Sadly there are no episodes of The Rebels of Liang Shan Po on YouTube so here is one from another martial arts series which I haven´t posted in a long while : Kozure Okami better known in America as Lone Wolf And Cub.

While we kind of already have an anime video in this post I think that we deserve a longer one : me for writing so long on this post ( even going back in a fifth time for an additional last minute spin - off ) and my readers for reading this neverending post. So here is episode seven.

With the number of times I had to rewrite this we had different music videos but since a big part is about David Hasselhoff here is the original version of one of his biggest hits Looking For Freedom by Marc Seeberg.

This is a video that I already posted but had then to replace it because it was too similar to another video in the post. And while it does not exactly make a lot of sense to watch a review AFTER you have seen the movie it´s too entertaining not to watch it and at least you do not risk any spoilers.

I like to think that reading this posts is more an experience than a chore so I want to - finally - wrap things up for Today with the classic Hammer Studio horror movie The Kiss Of The Vampire, not to be confused with the equally classic skin flick Embrace Of The Vampire from 1995 in which the aforementioned Alyssa Milano did her breast full frontal performance .
