Since I put artwork from different series into last year´s Alan Davis post I am returning to one of my favorite books : EXCALIBUR. Which is easier to talk about now that Disney has finally released a few Epic Collections to replace the out of print trades that those readers who missed the series or had gaps in their collection had to rely on. For all my new readers - and those old ones who might have missed it or want to refresh their memory - I posted the entire EXCALIBUR prestige format prelude THE SWORD IS DRAWN ( including a lot of original art ) and I also wrote about their part in the INFERNO CROSSOVER , a topic to which I will probably return to in the future. Anyway, as I have already written at length about my love for EXCALIBUR I can skip that and come right to the glorious Alan Davis art.
Now usually I try to avoid posting art that has been in previous posts but I am making an exception so I can include the whole sequence between Brian Braddock a.k.a. Captain Britain and his sister Elisabeth Braddock a.k.a. Psylocke from issue 55. I know that one of the pages was in the Alan Davis EXCALIBUR post from 2017 but I wanted to have it all in one post.
As somebody who always tries to go the extra mile and give my readers as much content per post as I can I like to include links I think they might find educative, helpful or at least funny. But when you have covered a certain topic a few times it is difficult to find new ones. On the other side there are always new readers discovering a series for the first time so I have two new links Today : the first one is for Ian Keogh at THE SLINGS & ARROWS and his review of the first Excalibur Visionaries : Alan Davis trade while David Brooke on ADVENTURES IN POOR TASTE presents 3 Stories Why EXCALIBUR Epic Collection : The Cross - Time Caper is worth a look.
As always kudos go out to all the fine folks who tireless post the original art, first and foremost HERITAGE AUCTION and COMIC ART FANS. Well, at the moment more of the latter and less of the first because you now have to register to see the art at full size. Not that I´m against that but at the moment I still have a lot of original art that I haven´t posted yet and I want to see if I can work my way through that before adding more.
Speaking of links, you may have noticed that in my last posts I have added links to older posts where I covered the celebrity birthdays. Up until now I just mentioned that I already wrote about them before but in most cases I never said where and when. So while writing the post addendum - or like I like to call it " the pop culture / cult siren section " - I had the idea that some readers might want to go back and check out who else celebrates a birthday. And not all readers might be willing to go through the whole blog archive. Now IF this would have been a lot of extra work I could not have done it but since I had to go through all of my old posts anyway I have included those links. Unless it has only stuff that is also in the newer links.
I don´t know if anybody will use them - or appreciate them - but here they are and at least it should make writing the posts next year easier.
As has become a habit lately I had to make some spin - off posts to make this post shorter ( four so far but I might to make another one when I have finished writing this one ) but this time I will put up the links at the corresponding dates. The upside to these posts is that the main posts get shorter and I can go into more detail, the downside is that I have to finish them first before finishing the main post because it´s just easier that way. But that´s enough public service announcement for this post so let´s start the list of birthdays I missed since my last post with June the 17th , June the 18th ( also to be found in this post ) and June the 19th while we make our first quick stop on June the 20th. John Goodman celebrated his 67th birthday and he starred with Halle Berry in the first Flintstone movie.
Which is still the best one and not only because Halle Berry appears in it ( even though it might be a contributing factor ). By the way, if you are surprised not to find the usual litany of Halle Berry links here don´t panic we will return to Halle in a few moments. As I said, this is just a quick stop and you can find more celebrity birthdays from June the 20th in this post .
Rachel McLish turned 64 on June the 21st who was not only the first Ms. Olympia she also has her own entry in my series of CASTING THE JUSTICE LEAGUE MOVIE. Click here for more celebrity birthdays of June the 21st.
German mega MILF Sonya Kraus celebrated her 46th birthday on June the 22nd who has had a few re - posts of her original cult siren entry . Not only is the self proclaimed sexpert a confessed deepthroat addict, she openly urged all women to give their men more wet blowjobs and enjoy oral sex.
Which makes it all the more believable that she only manages to stay on the air because of the annual deepthroat marathons she submits the network boss to at an undisclosed no tell motel where she spends an entire weekend milking his dick dry. Now that is what I call dedication !
You can find more birthdays from June the 22nd in her 2016 re - post which includes Bruce Campbell who turned 61. He is best known as Ash in the Army of Darkness movies which spun off into a plethora of comics.
Bruce Campbell is also one of the main characters on Burn Notice which had sexbomb Charisma Carpenter guest starring in one episode during the fourth season where she showed off her big talents in a blue bikini.
Charisma Carpenter also appeared on Veronica Mars but she is of course best known for playing Cordelia on Buffy and later on Angel where here appearances in skimpy outfits and bikini were the highlights of the show.
Daimn, Charisma´s funbags are still Airwolf. I would gladly volunteer as personal practice dildo for her oral and practical exam in spanish sex.
Klaus Maria Brandauer celebrated his 76th birthday. He was in the James Bond movie Never Say Never and although he didn´t have sex goddess Halle Berry as a Bond girl he shot Introducing Dorothy Dandridge with her.
Halle did her erotic dance in Last Boy Scout , teased us in Catwoman and finally delivered in Password : Swordfish but mostly Monster´s Ball where she milked Thornton´s rock hard Billy Bob dry in front of the entire crew.
And according to one of her ex - lovers this is her second nature : Halle Berry is a kinky sex freak. She used me as her boy toy. She deepthroated me for hours to give me a giant erection and then rode relentlessly on my rock hard member in a dentist´s chair with her huge breasts pounding against me until she had multiple orgasms. Sounds like my kind of woman.
In the bedroom I take control because looks are not enough to make a fella stay faithful : you must bang his brains out. You have to be a friend, be independent , be a lady and shy but you need to be a total sex freak in the bed and milk his dick - make him squirt until he´s completely dry.
Longtime readers know that Halle Berry is one of my all time wet sex fantasies so not only does she appear in my Justice League of America movie casting she had even four solo posts . But of course it was only a question of time before I added some new ones so last year I wrote four more : the first one about Halle Berry in her best movies , the second one on Halle Berry´s comic book movies , part three about my dream comic book movie casting with Halle Berry and the unexpected bonus round .
What happened to the birthdays from June the 24th to June the 25th ?
Did aliens take them ? Nope. The thing is that even with four spin - off posts this post was still way too long so I have put them into what will hopefully be my last spin - off post together with some of the stuff I had to shorten in this post. The good news is that I also get to include more original Alan Davis artwork, in this case from the brilliant Superboy´s Legion ELSEWORLDS mini series. Which was an idea I had for this post.
Apropos wet dreams, Jennette McCurdy turned 27 on June the 26th and my, how time flies. I remember the time when she was the best reason to watch iCarly and here she is now all grown up and in all the right places.
I don´t know if there was a latent psychic power at work, some kind of hot babe premonition sense or what but I always found her character more interesting than the main one. She always seemed to be the girl with whom hanging out would be more fun which might have something to do with the fact that the writers could be more imaginative and crazy with a supporting character than with the main lead. Whatever the reason in all the episodes I watched of iCarly I was more interested in Sam and for some reason she turned out to be much hotter than Mirande Cosgrove.
By the way, Jennette´s stunning look and booming body is in great part owed to her mixed irish, english, french, italian, dutch and swedish roots.
Robert Davi celebrated his 68th birthday but his part of the entertainment section got so long that I decided to give him his own MOVIE RUMMAGE TABLE spin - off post where I get to wax nostalgic about Licence To Kill as well as cult sirens Kathleen Kinmont, Tori Spelling, Busenwunder Tiffany Amber Thyssen, natural born stripper Elizabeth Berkeley, fully loaded brabuster Lindsay Lohan, my all time tv crush Markie Post, Heather Thomas and the obligatory episode of The Fall Guy, how to get a new series of audio dramas from the John Sinclair universe dirt cheap, another comic movie adaption that was ignored by the large public and one of the best war animes. Don´t say you don´t get your money´s worth on this blog.
Continuing with our birthday list for June the 26th we return to the world of comicbooks with Tom DeFalco who turned 69. And while I haven´t done a specific post on him he was the writer on a lot of my favorite series. He wrote one of my favorite runs on Fantastic Four with Paul Ryan ( which will become a regular feature on this blog as FANTASTIC FOUR FRIDAY WITH PAUL RYAN as soon as I can find the time ), my favorite run on Thor with Ron Frenz ( during which they created the New Warriors ) especially once Eric Masterson got to hold the hammer ( for which I already got all the material for the SOUL SHROUD SAGA lined up ) as well as on my guilty 1990s pleasure Thunderstrike. Tom also did a very enjoyable run on Spider - Man ( his first collaboration with Ron Frenz which I covered in these two posts ) where he co - created Rose, Black Fox and Silver Sable ( longtime readers may remember that the platinuim blonde placed third in my COMICBABE BATTLE SPIDERBABES FINALISTS ) and staying in the extended Spiderverse he wrote the magnificent Spider - Girl ( once again with Ron Frenz ) which ran for over 100 issues. Speaking of the Marvel Universe 2 he did the writing on a lot of those titles like Avengers Next ( yup, with Ron Frenz here too ), American Dream with Todd Nauck, Fantastic Five ( the first mini series with the aforementioned Paul Ryan, the second one with Ron Lim ), J2 - which was about the son of the Juggernaut - also with Ron Lim and last but not least Last Hero Standing and Last Planet Standing ( both with Pat Oliffe with whom he had started Spider - Girl ). I am a huge fan of the MC2 universe as it was a ray of sunshine during a very dark time at Marvel and I enjoyed most of these books. So there are plenty of posts where I talk about him at length and there surely´ll be more in the future.
You can find more celebrity birthdays from June the 14th to June the 26th in this post and we are skipping the celebrity birthdays for June the 27th - at least for the moment. Meanwhile here are the links for the birthdays of June the 28th and June the 29th and 30th the last one also being the birthday of Christopher Priest. He turned 58 and while I haven´t done a specific post for him yet I have written plenty of posts about the BLACK PANTHER and the best place to go is my post about Sal Velluto´s terrific art on BLACK PANTHER because it also includes a link to an overview of the brilliant series by Christopher Priest that I wrote back in 2012. There is also more great Sal Velluto art in the tribute posts I did in 2016 and 2018 .
We are returning to showbiz as June 30th is also the anniversary of the birth of one of Germany´s biggest entertainers, the late great Peter Alexander. The constant cross - dressing not withstanding ( which for some strange reason I never understood has always been a big thing in german comedy movies while cross - dressers in real life were not as popular, go figure ) he always was the more charismatic, more talented and definitely more sober version of Harald Juhnke. At least for me.
You can find a few more birthdays from June the 30th in this post which brings us to Dan Aykroyd who celebrated his 67th birthday on the 1st of July. Among his plethora of movie credits is Trading Places where he starred opposite Jamie Lee Curtis and they also appeared together in Christmas with the Kranks. What´s even more of a coincidence is that Jamie Lee Curtis is one of the candidates of my Top Ten Movie Striptease list as is bodacious Baywatch bombshell Pamela Anderson who turned 52 on July the 1st ( and we will also talk more about her in a moment ). So far I haven´t gotten around to give Pamela Anderson a solo post but I cast her as Power Girl in the first post of the Hollywood edition of my Justice League movie casting and part of that has appeared in the post on Janet Jones Gretzky , real live Power Girl Leslie Easterbrook and Becky Mullen .
But Jamie was not always a sex symbol and started out in horror movies like Halloween and The Fog ( which also starred cult siren Adrienne Bareau about whom you can read more in this brand new spin - off post ) where she quickly became very famous for her impressive set of lungs as one of Hollywood´s premiere scream queens. Although she later became quite literal famous for her impressive set of lungs as her boobs had busted out and she quickly got the nickname " freezeframe " because her scenes in such movies like Trading Places or Perfect became the most paused on the vcr thanks to Jamie´s erection guaranteeing 34C - 22 - 34 measurements.
She is best known for her incredibly hot striptease on True Lies, the best striptease in movie history - at least according to a poll conducted in 2007.
Which is all the more impressive if you keep in mind that Jamie Lee Curtis was 36 at the time. So she did her best movie scene when her body was in remarkable shape - she exercised every day for this - and I cannot even begin to imagine how epic it would have been if she hadn´t kept on her underwear and gone full monty frontal nudity. Because James Cameron had seen her in A Fish Called Wanda and wrote the role of Helen Trasker specifically to see her nude body. A lot of other actresses auditioned for the role and while I could definitely see Demi Moore in that part ( who is the number one in my Top Movie Stripteases thanks to her spectacular performance in Striptease ) or even Kim Basinger, Michelle Pfeiffer, Geena Davis, Rosanna Arquette, Madonna, Jennifer Jason Leigh and possibly Lea Thompson or Sharon Stone I thank God that it wasn´t given to Emma Thompson, Melanie Griffith, Debra Winger, Anette Benning or Joan Cusak.
I have already done a number of posts on JaMILF Lee Curtis : the original post which mostly contains pictures with links to animated GIFs , one post with all the pictures I could find , a re - posted version with a few GIFs added and the post I did on her in 2016 which has lots of spectacular GIFs.
Speaking of spectacular GIFs, the reason why I am mentioning Demi Moore - besides the opportunity to feature her - is I wrote a new version of her cult siren entry ( part 1 / part 2 ) with more GIFs of Demi girating her booty than you can shake .... okay, I´m not going to finish the sentence.
There are a few more celebrity birthdays from July the 1st in this post and while I also already covered the birthdays of July the 2nd it seems I never wrote a post on July the 3rd or the 4th so our next list is for July the 5th .
Now is the moment when we return to the celebrity birthdays from June the 27th - as promised - since that includes comic creators Butch Guice and Dan Jurgens which are featured in this brand new spin - off post all about the Man of Tomorrow. The post not only includes a link to more celebrity anniversaries from that day but also John Byrne who was the main architect of the post - Crisis Superman and whose birthday was on July the 6th. Because it would have been too long to put it all into one post I had to make two spin - off posts. Part one has a lot of DC Comics related stuff including cult sirens Teri Hatcher - who played the breast Lois Lane EVER in Lois & Clark : The New Adventures Of Superman - and hot Yvonne Craig - who played such a bonerriffic Batgirl on the campy Batman tv show that they couldn´t include her fast enough in the comicbooks - as well as a bootylicious performance by nubian bubblebutt Normani that puts blow up sex doll Beyonce to shame plus Superlopez - The Movie.
The second part is all about John Byrne´s UNCANNY X - MEN run with Chris Claremont in general, The Dark Phoenix Saga in particular and Ed Piskor´s X - Men : Grand Design and how it helps Disney to rewrite history. More birthdays from July the 6th include comedian Kevin Hart, 32C comedy brabuster Anna Faris, the ongoing quest for her unknown boob double from Scary Movie 3, the unknown asian blow up sex doll with the giant melons who goes topless in the uncensored version of 50 Cents P.I.M.P. video, a naked Salma Hayek, a look at the 60s Namor cartoon and An American Christmas Carol featuring Henry Winkler better known as Fonzy.
There is nothing new I can add to the celebrity birthdays from July the 7th but I want to address some from July the 8th - which both can be found in this post . The first one is Jaden Smith who co - starred in The Karate Kid with african - american MILF Taraji P. Henson and I bet he was pissed that he was still a minor at the time and could not bang her brains out. Anyway, since I don´t get to write about martial arts stuff as much as I like I have decided to do another spin - off post where aside from Jaden Smith and tittilating Taraji P. Henson you can find more karate / kung fu action than you can shake a stick at from cross - dressing sexbomb Hilary Swank who unsuccessfully tried to cover up her pornstar body in The Next Karate Kid to the brilliant Cobra Kai tv show to martial arts booty Cynthia Rothrock, manwha artist Tony Wong, hasian pocket rocket Jenny Babas, Monkey King and nubian blow up sex dolls Tatyana Ali and Yunoka Doyle.
Of course I found the best clip with afro - american aphrodite Taraji AFTER I had finished the post and it would be too much trouble to go back and change it. So here is NILF ( the " N " stands for nubian in this case ) sex goddess Taraji Pornstar Henson with her rendition of Beat It ! as part of the Michael Jackson tribute show and she totally kills it. She seems to have been poured into those tight leather pants that fit her curvaceous booty like a second skin and the way her coconuts are stretching out her shirt makes you wish she would rip it off like Michael Jackson in Dirty Diana or Janet Jackson during her boner inducing performance of Black Cat at the Mtv Video Music Awards. Daimn, gimme dirty Taraji, indeed !
Also on July the 8th Rocky Caroll turned 55 and he´s best known as NCSI Director Vance who took over after the demise of his predecessor Jenny Shepard played by Lauren Holly whom you might know from her parts on Dumb & Dumber, Down Periscope but most of all Picket Fences as her appearance in a bikini is the predominant one among her animated GIFs.
But don´t despair, for all the poor wretches like me there is still the 2010 drama The Final Storm where Holly shows she still has a banging body .
Bringing previous posts in which I already covered celebrity birthdays in the proper order can be a bit difficult since I don´t always refrain to just one date on a given post. Which is why you have more birthdays from the 8th up until the 12th of July in this post and just from July the 12th in this post while the birthdays from July the 10th are to be found in this post .
On July the 10th we come to Russ Meyer muse Tura Satana and I did a cult siren post for her in 2011 which I re - posted in 2016 which is mostly about the cult movie Faster Pussycat ! Kill ! Kill ! ( The Devil Women of Tittfield in german ) although it touches on her other movies and has her full bio.
Speaking of Russ Meyer movies, one of my favorites is UP ! starring Raven De La Croix. She looks like a real life Wonder Woman and it´s a shame there never was a Wonder Woman movie with Raven in the lead role.
The former blow up sex doll template played the role of überbusty amazonian princess in the 1984 Jim Wynorsky skin flick The Lost Empire. I wrote a bit more about her in my first Justice League Casting Alternates .
Sadly Debbe Dunning who turned 52 on July the 11th never starred in a Russ Meyer movie despite having the body for it. Nevertheless I cast the sexbomb who is best known for her role of Tool Time girl Heidi on the hit show Home Improvement ( based on the stand up routine of Tim Allen ) in my JLA Redux post as Knockout and she is also a top contender for the Top Ten Jessica Rabbit Lookalike Babes if I ever get around to write that.
I haven´t done a full post on her as I still have seasons six and seven of Home Improvement on my to watch pile and I only got them because of Debbe Dunning´s incredible muscle control . She really was predestined to become a sexsymbol as the " Double Dee " is not only part of her name.
Debbe first had a guest appearance with a name that´s impossible to pronounce and a stunning blue dress before she became a permanent cast member, taking up the mantle of Pamela thanks to her bikini hardbody.
Pam is always portrayed as a dumb blonde but she and Debbe Dunning had the same starting conditions. Which were a certain degree of fame due to exposure on shows like Baywatch and Home Improvement and a body that could cause the number of sold copies of men´s magazines to skyrocket .
Still somehow Pamela has managed to make a successful career out of it while Debbe´s artistic highlight is Jessica Rabbit in Misery Brothers.
The most famous of a veritable plethora of incredibly hot women that went through the revolving casting doors of BAYWATCH is without any doubt Pamela Anderson and it is beyond belief that so far I have only mentioned her in the first ever Casting the Justice League of America movie post where I naturally cast her as Power Girl ( a role she was born to play ). Because Pam An was not only the very first candidate in my hugely popular SEARCH FOR POWER GIRL series over at my old boob - centric blog.
No, she also is on my TOP TEN MOVIE STRIPTEASE list thanks to her boner inducing wet & wild opening scene from the movie adaption of Dark Horse Comics BARB WIRE. Most of this was cut off in the german version which is one of the reason why the movie flopped so much in movie theaters while the video cassette of the original US version became such a huge success.
Anyway, I still intend to do posts for all of the striptease babes on my list but every year I have to postpone Pamela Anderson´s cult siren entry.
And for more on such baywatchable babes like Erika Eleniak ( who is of course most famous for her incredibly steamy striptease in UNDER SIEGE ), Krista Allen ( best remembered for getting her freak on as french blow up sex doll EMANUELLE in 8 made for tv movies ) or natural born go go dancer Carmen Elektra check out my latest BAYWATCH SPIN - OFF POSTS.
It has been a while since I posted a bikini contest video but you can´t mention Baywatch without some bikini sexbombs from the 90s. Both Baywatch and bikini contests were the biggest 90s ratings successes.
This may be a re - post but for this occassion I picked the California Girl Bikini Contest 12 because it features the Bikini Open All Stars. In this contest you can see such familiar blow up sex dolls like Mercedes above , busty blonde Pamela Brown or Brooke Thompson and in her case things could get confusing because she sometimes started under the name of Brooke and other times under the name Brandi , Bridget or Michelle. But while you could get her names mixed up there was no mistaking that hardbody. These are the kind of women movements I can´t get enough of.
We return to comics one last time because I can´t end the post without acknowledging the 77th birthday of Tom Palmer Today. Being one of the best inkers in the business it should be no surprise that his work appears on a lot of posts I wrote. And while he did not get a solo post until 2016 there are plenty of posts for you to peruse. One of his best collaborations was inking John Buscema on Avengers - on both runs - so look no further than my series about my Top Ten John Buscema covers ( part 1 / part 2 / part 3 / part 4 ) , my three posts about the Avengers tie - in issues to Inferno that I made so far ( I hope I can continue this series someday because it´s one of my favorite crossovers and I still have a lot to say about it ) or my posts about the Assault On Olympus story . Speaking of comics drawn by John Buscema I did two posts on the Ragnarock storyline that ran from Thor 272 to 277. Another highlight of Tom Palmer´s career was inking Gene Colan on such Bronze Age milestones like Daredevil, Doctor Strange or The Tomb of Dracula so you might want to check out the post I wrote when he passed away in 2011 or the Gene Colan homage post I did in 2016. And last but not least here are more birthdays from July the 11th to July the 13th and from July the 13th up until July the 15th .
While Tom Palmer is mostly associated with John Buscema on Avengers he also inked Neal Adams on one of the team´s best known multi part sagas that was so groundbreaking that it´s effects are still felt Today. Not only where the Avenger´s history is concerned but also Marvel´s crossovers.
We end things with another trip in the way - back - machine and the 1966 Captain America cartoon. When Captain America throws his mighty shield.
