After so much cult siren centric content on the post it´s about time to return to comicbooks ( also some of my readers are probably tired of seeing the still unfinished post with MILF Aletta Ocean at the top of the blog ) and since I didn´t get to do a post on John Romita Jr.´s birthday last year - and I found a lot of original art of him during the last few days - I thought to use the opportunity and put the best pieces on the blog.
Now while I didn´t do a post on John Romita Jr.´s birthday last year I did one for Ann Nocenti this year and as longtime followers know that always means a spotlight post on her brilliant DAREDEVIL run with John Romita Jr.
Yes, I know that she edited DEFENDERS, FANTASTIC FOUR, THE INCREDIBLE HULK, NEW MUTANTS or UNCANNY X - MEN and wrote titles like CLASSIC X - MEN or LONGSHOT where she co - created the title character together with Arthur Adams ( about which I wrote in this post ) but as long as I have some art from her DAREDEVIL run those have to take a back burner.
Now while I have written about Ann Nocenti´s DAREDEVIL run many times the first time I got to write a post in honor of her was actually in 2019.
Which is the reason why that post was more focused on her writing while my post in 2020 was a bit more art - centric. For my newer readers - and those who are too lazy to check out last year´s Ann Nocenti post - here are a few links to my older posts and I guess it all goes back to INFERNO.
INFERNO is one of my favorite Marvel crossovers which is why I started a series going through all of the various titles although I haven´t covered the DAREDEVIL part yet ( part 1 with my initial thoughts and AVENGERS issue 298 / part 2 about how the crossover was never published here in Germany and the forgotten Avenger Gilgamesh which was also my first attempt to write about AVENGERS issue 300 / my second attempt to write about AVENGERS issue 300 / the third and finally successful post about AVENGERS issue 300 ) . I hope we can get back to that topic some day.
Speaking of getting back to certain topics, while I haven´t found the time to continue with the INFERNO crossovers last year´s Marc Silvestri´s X - MEN post was almost completely about that storyline and one of the most underrated X - Men sexbombs : Madelyne Pryor a.k.a. the Goblin Queen.
Up to the point that I made a special Goblin Queen spotlight post with more Goblin Queen art and Goblin Queen cosplayers than you can shake a goblin at though the main reason was to spotlight cosplayer Ashlynne Dae.
Yes, there are other cosplayers but if I hadn´t come across Ashlynne Dae´s really mindblowing Goblin Queen cosplay I probably wouldn´t have thought about doing the post. By the way, one of the posts I planned to do in 2020 was a Ashlynne Dae spotlight since naturally I researched her a bit more.
I have already selected the usual 23 pictures for the post and let me tell you it was especially difficult to narrow it down to only 23 of her best and to still keep it safe for work. Anyway, I hope I get to post them very soon.
Ann Nocenti´s DAREDEVIL was also one of the reasons why I bought the MARVEL VISIONARIES - JOHN ROMITA JR hardcover since it includes issue 253, a special Christmas story with the Kingpin. That was another series I started, pimping the MARVEL VISIONARIES hardcover since they were pretty inexpensive back in those days and they contain many key Marvel moments. I wrote a few post with a special attention to which issues in the hardcovers were important - especially for people who only know the Marvel characters from the movies - and while is was on hiatus for a long time I finally got to wrap up the MARVEL VISIONARIES - CHRIS CLAREMONT hardcover in 2019 . I hope I can also continue with this series this year.
It´s time to get back to the topic of this post before I get too depressed thinking about all the hardcovers I used to have ( my current comicbook collection can´t even be called that since it barely fills out one shelf ).
Those who are frequent visitors of the blog know that John Romita Jr.´s runs on UNCANNY X - MEN are my second favorite runs on that title ( my favorite being the run by Marc Silvestri and my third favorite being the run by Jim Lee ) and I am so thankful that I managed to keep volumes 10 to 12 of the MARVEL MASTERWORKS of that series and that the spanish post office actually managed to deliver them to my new home. Those are issues that I cherish and keep re - reading again and again. Now I have written a few posts about John Romita Jr.´s run on UNCANNY X - MEN in the past - in 2017 , in 2017 again although that was a double feature with Marc Silvestri and the last time in 2018 - so I don´t have to elaborate on why I like these issues so much and we can get right to the good stuff.
One last thing, I chose the title of this post because most of the art is from X - Men titles or X - Men related titles but there are also some pieces from other books which were just too good to pass up. And don´t worry, there are more than enough pages remaining for at least a few posts if I actually DO get to write a post on John Romita Jr.´s birthday this year.
One reason to do this post - besides shortening up another post - was to showcase those periods of X - Men history that have been ignored by the general populace. Which means everything that is not connected to the movies or tv shows. So I wasn´t surprised that there are not many videos that cover these stories but I came across a fan film about Wolverine.
And since I don´t think I will be doing any Wolverine posts soon I am including it here. From all the Wolverine movies Logan is my favorite and not only because they left out most of the terrible Old Man Logan stuff.
As always Marvel Comics ... I mean, Disney can´t leave anything alone that brought in so much money so they had to do some follow up series. I haven´t read any of the issues yet but they do have some nice covers and since the original story was a big pile of horse manure anything else can only be an improvement. Coming back to the fan film, while the budget was probably not that big and the guy who plays Wolverine acts a bit stiff in some scenes he is an incredible fit. Also kudos to the woman who plays Silver Fox. Plus, they managed to bring in Sabretooth and Goldie. Am I the only one who gets Mark Texeira SABRETOOTH mini series vibes from this ?

Longtime readers know that one of my pet pevees on this blog is celebrating all the brave actresses who turn insufferable dreck into bearable entertainment by taking their clothes off or at least show what their Mama gave them and who don´t get enough recognition for that .

Then there is the tv movie Ed McBain´s 87th Precinct : Heatwave with Erika Eleniak as Detective Eileen Burke. I think I might have mentioned it before but with my unreliable memory I wanted to include it in this post if I didn´t. I think the series is a remake of an old black and white cop show.
Anyway, during a heatwave the police are trying to catch a serial rapist who is working his way through the female populace and because Erika Eleniak is a walking wet sex dream her two - male - partners decide in true chauvinist fashion to use her as bait since she doesn´t let them bang her.

Which - to my knowledge - only is part of the extended edition. Also, the people who don´t know this material are those who have not read the original source material.
Which are also the people who keep referring to WATCHMEN as a graphic novel instead of what it really was - a limited 12 issue maxi series. Probably because they don´t want to admit that they enjoyed a simple comicbook.
Longtime followers know that Emma Frost didn´t even make it into the top 5 of my mutant massitas way back when I was still doing my popular COMICBABE BATTLE series. But I would definitely include her in my X - Men movie because then I could cast ASMR Amy as the White Queen who is just predestined for the role. Not only because of her giant - sized 32F melons but also because sometimes I could swear that she can read my mind. Althought that´s not difficult with the kind of videos she makes.
Since I already mentioned the extreme drop in the quality of life due to my exodus to Spain here is a video about one of the sacrifices I had to make. To make matters worse I had both volumes and they are now out of print. IDW is publishing new Artisan Editions that cost only a fraction of the original books. But they are in the softcover and only half the size.
Which makes them obsolete in my mind. The whole point of an Artist´s Edition is to have the inked pages in their original size to study. So buying them at only half the original size is a total waste of money in my opinion.
In these trying times we need something to lift our spirits and I´ve always found Wilson Phillips anthem Hold On to be especially inspiring.As a big Power Girl fan I always had a thing for Chynna Phillips who blessed me with many wet dreams thanks to her mind blowing 33C - 25 - 35 measurements.

What Today´s oversaturated with super hero movies audience likes to forget is that when this was first aired we didn´t have a lot of super hero adaptions - be it on the big screen or the small screen.
So just having any kind of live action tv show with Spider - Man was more than we dreamed of. And yes, the costume and the special effects were not that great. But - as it is explained in the video - there were reasons why the costume was altered. And as for the special effects most of the other shows on the boob didn´t have better special effects either.
From one of the earliest adaptions of Spider - Man we come to one of the best. And I´m saying " one of the best " because they left out two of the best spider characters, Miguel O´Hara a.k.a. Spider - Man 2099 and May " Mayday " Parker a.k.a. the best Spider - Girl ever ( since there have been multiple Spider - Girls over the decades ) just to cater to little girls by bringing in a manga girl and her spider robot ( no idea where she came from ) and also to newer comicbook readers by including Spider - Gwen.
Really, I don´t understand the purpose of this character or why she is a fan favorite. About which I am not 100 percent sure but that´s what I get from the pictures I found. She seems to be just an oversexed idealized manifestation on fanboy fan fiction. Not that there´s something wrong with that. I read comics in the 90s so I know how that boosts a book.
But I tried to find any other reason, a shred of personality that might explain her rise to popularity but from what I read so far it´s just your usual, uninspired SJW " you have to like me because I´m a girl and if you don´t you are a Nazi " crap that is so prevalent in Today´s Marvel Comics.
Even when she was still alive Gwen Stacy was not such an interesting character and her best moments were when she dide and when she came back as a clone. So to make her into a heroine with spider powers that makes zero sense. Especially since there have already been so many female versions of Spider - Man not counting other super heroines with spider powers like Spider - Woman Jessica Drew or Spider - Woman Julia Carpenter on whom the black costume from SECRET WARS was based on.
I can´t help myself but for me it looks a lot like Disney trying to cash in on the popularity of a character who only got such a high rating because of the good girl way she has been drawn - which is kind of hypocritical since Frank Cho got roasted alive on the internet for doing the exact same thing - and the lack of knowledge of the uneducated masses who only know the Marvel movies and don´t know that there have been many other Spider - Girls, all of them better and more interesting characters as Spider - Gwen.
I have finally gotten around to watch episodes 1 to 5 of Falcon and the Winter Soldier - only because Ron Frenz wrote on his facebook page that they are doing the Johnny Walker / Jack Daniels / Jim Beam / new Captain America / USAgent storyline in that series - and I will give my thoughts about that when I have seen the last episode. For Today I just want to include the Captain America movie with Matt Salinger as Captain America.

We are staying in Germany with a video that I have been looking for for a long time. Well, not this one specifically but any episode of Petrocelli. It´s one of the big shows from my misspent youth but so far I never found an episode. Now somebody has uploaded a few episodes so I wanted to put it on the blog as quickly as possible. This is the pilot movie after which the ongoing series was started and it has Stefanie Powers as a guest star.
She is best known as Jennifer Hart from the cult series Hart To Heart or like it was known in Germany Hart aber herzlich. Stefanie Powers was one of the big sexbombs from my youth based on her role in that hit show.
