As I said in my last post despite all of the unfinished posts I still have on my blog there is one more new post I have to write. Even if it's only to put all of the Christmas videos that have accumulated throughout the year - plus those that were left over from previous years - out there and so we are continuing what may soon become a noble tradition since we also had a Christmas post with the Legion of Super - Heroes last year .
More than that I also wrote a spotlight post about the late Lee Moder's contribution to the Legion of Super - Heroes earlier that month. On top of that this year we also had a post during JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA MONTH about a crossover between the Legion of Super - Heroes , the Justice League of America and the Justice Society of America and my first post about Keith Giffen's iconic run on the Legion of Super - Heroes.
As longtime followers of the blog know I have written dozens of posts about the Legion of Super - Heroes covering almost every incarnation of the team so it was a bit difficult to choose what to include in this post.
And since our last Legion of Super - Heroes Christmas post was from the post CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS era I thought about continuing with more material from that era and also there is enough stuff from the Keith Giffen era left over but in the end I decided instead to go with my favourite period which is the Bronze Age Legion of Super - Heroes period.
There is some stuff that I saved up to include it in my posts whenever I mention that era but I felt that it is too good to waste it for other posts and decided to include it here instead. Now usually I try to keep these posts artist - centric but here we have a few artists like Dave Cockrum or Mike Grell who have gotten a number of spotlight posts over the years .
One last thing before we get to the good part : I may have posted some of the material in this post before but as far as I could find not in my Legion of Super - Heroes spotlights. And even if I did I hope my readers give me a bit of leeway here in light of the upcoming holiday season.
One last and final thing ( I swear ) I hope that I can add at least one more post before Christmas but if I can't I want to wish all readers out there who have followed TALES FROM THE KRYPTONIAN over the decades as well as all the new visitors who might have found their way here by chance a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ! Long live the Legion !
long live the legion
