A Weird Crime Wednesday with Ernie Chan !

The year is winding down and everybody here in Spain is going crazy with Black Friday discounts - real and fake - trying to get that last Christmas present but since the book I want is in development limbo and the next best thing doesn't come out until my next birthday and I can't spend that much on Christmas presents anyway that got me thinking how to wrap up this year since I should be concentrating on finishing up old posts instead of starting new ones. Nevertheless there will be at least one more new post during the season to be jolly and since last month was about Marvel Comics mutant books and the month before that all about independent comicbook publishers ( even although I had to take down the spotlight on CHAOS ! Comics PURGATORI because blogger won't allow it ) it's DC Comics turn. And since we just covered Jim Aparo's iconic period on the Batman titles as well as Don Newton's very underrated contributions we come back to the Batcave with one of the weirdest periods by one of my favourite artists / inkers which is none other than the late Ernie Chan.

For this one we are going back to the well because back in March I did two posts with material from this Bat era, one mainly with pages and covers from Ernie Chan's BATMAN issues and another one focusing more on his issues of DETECTIVE COMICS so I thought that it would take me more time to do the next one. On one side because I was almost maxed out of Ernie Chan BATMAN material but also because on top of that I did one new post with Ernie Chan's iconic covers for JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA and two new posts about his tenure on CONAN THE BARBARIAN .
