Well, not so surprising for regular blog visitors or veterans from the first hour plus I hinted at the possibility of doing a third part of my tribute to the late Peter David's run on THE INCREDIBLE HULK together with Dale Keown in my last post. So once again I am cutting a part of the pop culture trivia / cult siren tribute section and adding it to this post but instead of cutting out a particular part - which in our last case was all about 1980s 42C - 22 - 36 Power Girl Markie Post on The Fall Guy with a lot of stuff about Power Girl and Janet Jackson - I will be cutting stuff from the backend so all of the stuff for my spanish readers and maybe - maybe - some things for all my german readers. We'll se how this goes.
So this will definitely be my last Peter David / Dale Keown tribute post since these are all the material I have left ( including a lot of covers ) but not my last Dale Keown tribute post because I still have some Hulk illustrations of his plus original art from his PITT series over at iMAGE.
You can say what you want about Dale Keown's PITT series - which is basically buffed Hulk from outer space without a nose - but he somehow managed selling the same five issues of PITT for five or ten years. Every time a new issue came out Dale made another trade paperback which always included issues 1/2 to 4. That takes some shrewd business sense.
Anyway, I think this is enough of an introduction so let's get to the good stuff and once more raise our glasses to - as someone put it so fittingly in one of the videos in my last post - the working writer Peter David.

They mention it in the video but a hero is only as good as his villain and Clancy Brown does a terrific job as Kurgan, taking what could have been a typical run of the mill bad guy and transforming him into one of the greatest antagonists in movie history by being much more over the top than necessary. As for Christopher Lambert, his quintessential movies are of course Highlander ( we'll ignore the sequels as I am sticking to the motto There Can Only Be One ), The Hunted ( one of my favorite white guy caught in ninjas vs samurai BS movies of all times ), Fortress, Mortal Kombat ( he is still the best Lord Raiden ) and Subway by Luc Besson from 1985.
