Now usually these posts are a welcome chance for me to post some of the original art pieces that tend to accumulate because I am always behind with doing these posts. But in the case of Bernie Krigstein I didn´t have that much material in my EC Comics folder so I had to go to the internet to dig up some stuff. So there are a few things in this post that are different from most BLACK AND WHITE posts. First up I couldn´t find a cover by Bernie Krigstein so I had to use a cover by a different artist.
The first thing that came to mind was the cover to IMPACT issue 1 since that is where Master Race - which most comicbook afficionados see as his best work - was published. And that would have been a great idea. The only problem with that was that I already used it in a previous post so instead I picked the cover for IMPACT issue 5, which is also by Jack Davis.
Another thing that is unlike other BLACK AND WHITE posts is that I have less than the usual 23 pieces of art due to the length of the stories I selected for this. To make up for that I have included the original colors as well as the version that saw print for the story The Flying Machine from WEIRD SCIENCE FANTASY 23. Rounding up the trifecta are You Murderer ! from SHOCK SUSPENSTORIES issue 14 and Master Race from IMPACT issue 2.
I have included most of the links I found during the making of this post in the text but I have to make a special mention of Rob Salkowitz´ When Comics Took On The Holocaust on FORBES as it not only mentions Bernie Krigstein´s Master Race but also other stories that tackled this subject.
We continue our trip down memory lane on March the 22nd with Hugo Egon Balder who turned 69. He is of course best known as the host of TUTTI FRUTTI and I love wikipedia because I have never heard it described anywhere else as a soft - porn tits - out show but I guess it kind of was .
I recently found a website with entire episodes of the german cult show as well as from the italian original Colpo Grosso and while some parts are dated and I fastforwarded in a couple of instances I have to say that Hugo does a pretty good job all things considered. It´s not easy hosting these kind of shows with class and humor without it getting smutty and there are several people who tried and failed. So proper kudos for that, Hugo.
One of the main attractions of the game show TUTTI FRUTTI was of course brabuster Monique Sluyter who not only had no problem taking off her clothes on tv she also often disrobed for various gentleman magazines.
Regular readers of this blog already know that I cast her as Fire a.k.a. GOT ( WALLY ) WOOD ? or IT´S ALL ABOUT POWER GIRL´S POWER GIRLS
In the old comics artist Wally Wood kept making Power Girl´s breasts bigger and bigger to see how far he could take it. Or at least that is the urban legend. Speaking of Wally Wood´s version of Power Girl, if you want to see for yourself if there´s any truth to the claim that he supersized Power Girl´s boob you can find the original art for the 17 page story from All - Star Comics 65 at the private collection of James Halperin and you can see them at an even bigger resolution at HERITAGE AUCTIONS . Well, in regards to Power Girl´s gigantic breast size ( let´s not loose track of what is really important here ) fact is that the artists after Wally Wood drew her with normal proportions .... or what is considered normal for superheroines.
Until Bart Sears took over the character, buffed her up and returned her signature breast size - at least until the whole NEW 52 fiasko / retcon.
When I started to read american comics the DC universe was brand new thanks to the Crisis on Infinite Earths fallout and I grabbed all the series I didn´t know which included the two fisted combo of Justice League by Keith Giffen, J. M. DeMatteis and Kevin Maguire and Justice League Europe also by Giffen and Matteis, art by Bart Sears and inks by Pablo Marcos whom I knew from his work on Defenders. I don´t know if it was fate but the very first issue of Justice League Europe I got was issue 4 in which Power Girl, Flash and Animal Man share a hotel room as they go to Bialya on an undercover mission. I re - read the issue a few times and I always wondered if these more human - and more horny in the case of Flash - heroes didn´t spend the dull waiting time in a more adult way.
Well, I was young, in my sexual prime and had a lot of spare time in the barracks ( we were three in one room but the others went home after duty so I had the black and white television set with a lot of TUTTI FRUTTI and PLAYBOY LATE NIGHT episodes all to myself which didn´t exactly help my situation ) so I re - read the issue a few times imagining what could have happened if Animal Man would have gotten Power Girl under his control with pheromones. Ah, all the things I would have done to her.
For me Bart Sear´s version is still the definite version of Power Girl and when DC started back - paddling with REBIRTH and restoring many things I was curious what that meant for Power Girl. I had hoped that there might be a return to her former glory in store for her but so far the SJWs have stuck the real Power Girl in limbo and replaced her with a political correct, flat chested black version. I guess Kara is too much woman to for them.
Now while I have not written anything new about the post REBIRTH Power Girl it is not true that I have not written about DC´s Maid of the Massive Mammaries at all. I recently started a new series about one of my favorite artists from my earliest comic reading days and while the first post was all about Joe Staton´s contribution to the GREEN LANTERN ( or DIE GRÜNE LEUCHTE how he was called in Germany and at that time I was reading mostly german comics ) my next ones were all about his version of Power Girl - which I also had to split into two separate posts, the intro and the main post - since Joe Staton not only drew all of the adventures of Power Girl or the Justice Society of America but basically everything on Earth 2.
Speaking about the best Power Girl of all times in Justice League Europe, in 2016 I finally managed to do another post about Darick Robertson in which I mentioned the BREAKDOWNS storyline that introduced Power Girl´s famous coconut bra costume. And I just want to say that I still have not given up on a Yaya Han Power Girl coconut bra cosplay ( with the tiniest coconut shells you can find although compared to her huge 40D oppai all coconut shells probably look small no matter how big they are ) as she has already shown that she does a terrific Power Girl cosplay and she certainly has no problem filling out the magical cleavage window.
So far I had written six posts on Yaya - two of them are pretty safe but the other four are absolutely not safe for work - and I keep mentioning her on various JLA casting posts and any other posts involving asian sexbombs like Kiana Tom, Ava Cadell, Akira Lane, Miko Lee, Gail Kim or Minka and I swear the completely NSFW BIG YAYA HAN POST is still in the pipeline. In the meantime I have made two new posts about Yaya which showcase a part of her incredible anatomy that I have ignored too often - her legs.

One reason why Miko kept popping up in the posts about Yaya Han is that I needed a body double for Yaya´s more explicit sex scenes I had in mind.

I just recently included a whole slew of new ones but those are just for compilation and mixes while these new ones are not only for entire episodes - which are always ultra rare - but for german episodes which are even rarer . Some of them even include my favorite Tutti Frutti girl ( whom you can see just below ).
I also have to mention William Shatner, the man, the myth, the legend, who celebrated his 89th birthday. Here in Germany they only talk about STAR TREK when they talk about William Shatner as if that was the only thing he ever did. Which may have something to do with the fact that the second big hit series William Shatner was on - T. J. HOOKER ( did really nobody have a problem with the fact that a cop had the name Hooker ? ) - came very late to Germany and was only on private cable channels like RTL ( which also showed TUTTI FRUTTI ). Nevertheless the series is constantly in reruns on some channel in Germany right now so I don´t know why they still ignore it. The third big franchise William Shatner is connected with falls once again in the science fiction genre and it´s the one he created himself : TekWar. From Today´s point of view it looks like an oddity but I was reading comicbooks at that time and this was a really enormous thing.
Starting off as a series of novels it quickly spun into a 24 issue comicbook series by Marvel Comics called TekWorld that ran from 1992 to 1995, trading cards, a video game, four tv movies and last but not least a tv series with 18 episodes that ran from 1994 to 1996. So for a while William Shatner was getting loaded with TekWar money. I already posted the first tv movie ages ago but thankfully somebody uploaded the rest so here is the second one.
Speaking of tv movies I want to include a second one, Dead Man´s Island from 1996 with William Shatner, Morgan Fairchild ( from FLAMINGO ROAD fame ) and Barbara Eden ( best known from I DREAM OF JEANNIE with Larry Hagman who later on became famous as J. R. Ewing on DALLAS ).
Fun fact : not only does the film count David Faustino among its cast who is best known as Bud Bundy from the sitcom Married With Children it also has ex - porn star Traci Lords who appeared in two episodes of that show.
Like William Shatner Traci Lords does not only act but she sings as well.

Since I mentioned Power Girl in the post I wanted to include some of the new videos I found with her. This is from the channel Casually Comics which I discovered only recently and you will see a lot of their videos over the next few posts. Which is also kind of the topic of this video that I found completely by accident a while ago. Since you can´t see the full title in the preview picture ( small hint : try to keep the title of your videos on YouTube short otherwise they are cut off ) it´s A Cosplayer Named Power Girl Is Running For Office In Arizona and I am not sure if the guys discussing this really know what a cosplayer is does. It´s the only reason I can come up with that explains why they automatically assume she goes to work in her full cosplay regalia - like the cosplayers wear their costumes all the time.
I don´t have a cartoon that fits Today´s topic since I have already posted a few episodes of Tales From The Cryptkeeper so here is another great unexpected YouTube find. I think it´s a french series that is based on the book series by Jules Verne the grandfather of the science fiction novel.
Speaking of unexpected internet finds, here is a rare treat : the Flash ( Grant Gustin who plays Barry Allen on CW´s THE FLASH ) interviewed by the Flash ( Michael Rosenbaum who did the voice of Wally West on the JUSTICE LEAGUE ) with a special intro by Green Arrow ( Stephen Amell ).
