By George ! It's New Teen Titans Tuesday !

It's always difficult to decide if I should start a new post or finish up the old ones - especially now that the entire blog has been slapped with a NSFW warning - but there is also the fact that OneDrive is constantly bombarding me with messages that it is full and as regular blog visitors know that means that soon I will not be able to access the pictures.

So since it has been only two months since my second post on THE INFINITY GAUNTLET but four years since my last post about George Perez groundbreaking work on THE NEW TEEN TITANS with Marv Wolfman I have decided to once again dive deep into not only one of the best DC Comics series or one of THE best Bronze Age series of all time but also the series that practically saved DC Comics from going out of business in the 1980s.

But before we come to that I think I have to address the elephant in the room. As frequent blog visitors know for the last months my posts have been flagged as NSFW more often than usual. I don't know if it is a new algorithm or a new computer program that detects NSFW content or just some persons who have nothing better to do than flag my posts as NSFW even if they are not. I suspect it is an unfortunate combination of both.

Anyway, while I do have a lot of content that is bordering on the NSFW line and there have been some cases where some - apparently - NSFW content was in the posts so far I have been able to change the post to get the " all clear " thumbs up from blogger again. So what happened ?

For one it seems blogger has deleted the application where you can just click on your post to order a new NSFW review. I have no idea why they felt the need to do that - maybe they had to actually do some work and they did not like that one bit ? - but now the only option you have as a blogger is delete the old post, write an entirely new version and hope it does not get flagged as NSFW. And if it does well, wash, rinse, repeat, wash, rinse, repeat. And this is what led to the whole problem we have.

You see, when I said that you have to delete the old post that means that you not only have to click on the trash bin symbol. Because that is what I did and I thought all was good. The problem was that if you just click the trash bin symbol that does not automatically delete the post.

Because there may be cases where you click on it by accident and so it only puts the post into the trash bin and if you change your mind or it was an accident you can restore it again. So the post I thought I had deleted was actually still in the trash bin, still shown as active and still giving the NSFW warning. So after weeks without any change in said post blogger was still getting an NSFW warning from my blog but since they could not find any active post with NSFW content ( how could they if said post was in the trash bin ) they decided instead of going over 1.300 posts I've written just give the entire blog the NSFW stamp of approval.

I have since then ordered another review of the blog and I also got the message that it is under review but that can take a long time. If they are really doing it and it's not one of those " well, we will put you on the list and call you if everything checks out ( but there is no actual list we are only saying that to shut you up ) " things companies do to customers they don't want to deal with. I tried other ways to contact blogger but that is a Sisyphus task. The only good thing is now I have not to constantly think about if something is NSFW or not. Although I feel kind of sorry for the guys who come here looking for juicy NSFW content because they will be sorely disappointed. Not that there are no pictures that delve more into the adult content category. But judging from the fact that so far I have been able to avoid the general NSFW classification there can't be that much interesting material. And now back to the program in progress.

Seeing as this is not our first rodeo so to speak - this is neither my first George Perez post nor my first NEW TEEN TITANS or my first George Perez NEW TEEN TITANS post - I don't have to tell you what a great series this is that still holds up pretty well Today. Nor do you want to hear me crying about how I had to give all of my NEW TEEN TITANS issue ( suffice it to say that besides various DC ARCHIVES hardcovers, omnibus, trades, german JUNGE GIGANTEN Ehapa Comicalbums and spanish issues I had a complete run from issue 20 to 100 of the first and second volume plus most of the following series ) and we can all get right to the good stuff.

As usual I looked at my previous George Perez NEW TEEN TITANS posts to avoid any redundancies but I hope my readers will give me some leeway if I didn't go over all 1.300 posts and there is some art I've used before.

My longtime followers already know that I like to do thematic posts so since I am still hoping to do a DEATHSTROKE THE TERMINATOR / THE DEATH OF TERRA post as well as a STARFIRE spotlight post I have saved those pages for a later date. There are still some fine art pages in here.

I have included one page that is not by George Perez but since the guest penciler on that issue was nobody less than the great late Curt Swan I don't think my readers will mind very much. But that is enough of my unqualified ramblings and now let's get to the good part, my friends !

Now at this point everybody who has followed this blog for more than a few weeks has an idea of what a backdoor pilot is. But what maybe not everybody knows is that there are also backdoor pilots for comicbooks.

Well, our good pal Brian Cronin over at COMIC BOOK RESOURCES has a list of five characters who got their own series thanks to a backdoor pilot in another book which includes DEATHSTROKE THE TERMINATOR - whom audiences nowadays know mostly from his appearances on Arrow and various animated movies - who got his own ongoing series in the 1990s.

Something I always have to mention is that a lot of people will tell you that the 90s was the worst period for the comicbook industry and while there certainly seemed to be more bad comicbooks because the output was higher than in all previous decades I don't subscribe to this notion .

Because most of my favourite comicbooks or stories either started in the 90s , were still going and some even reached their high point in the 90s .

Coming back to DEATHSTROKE THE TERMINATOR that was a book I had on my pull list - at least for the first two years - and which had a wonderful cover for the first issue ( that was also used for all of the promotions because it was so awesome ) by the immaculate Mike Zeck best known for his work on the original SECRET WARS maxi series, THE PUNISHER, the seminal Spider - Man story KRAVEN'S LAST HUNT and of course not only Marvel Comics best Bronze Age series but one of Marvel Comics best series ever - period - SHANG CHI, MASTER OF KUNG FU . And it's really a crime against humanity what they did to the book in the movie adaption.

Now this may be seen as cruel & unusual but for those who want the full experience I am including the full movie so you can watch along with them. Also newer visitors to the blog should check out my second post on Joe Staton's GREEN LANTERN run where I wrote at length about Cynthia Rothrock's career as well as the first Tiger Claws movie ( they really did turn this into a trilogy ) which was the first movie where Cynthia got to show off her new and vastly improved 40C ( ! ) - 25 - 37 measurements.

Cynthia Rothrock and her new busticicles go undercover as a hooker to catch a pervert at the beginning of the movie - and only the beginning.

I was always disappointed that we didn´t get to see more of Cynthia Rothrock´s stunning physique in her films but it was totally not her fault.

As I learned much later Cynthia Rothrock always wanted to do riskier scenes and was willing to show more skin ( After all what is the use of training your hardbody to physical perfection if you can´t show it ? Especially if you are an actress where your body is one of your main factors determining what roles you get and what you are paid. ) but her stupid agent always vetoed it who for some inexplicable reason thought it would hurt her market value as a female martial arts star if she did nude scenes. Thankfully Cynthia did manage to get her way in many Femme Fatales issues much to the delight of all her drooling male fans.

And she was finally allowed to strut her stuff in films like Fatal Passion, Undefeatable and especially Sworn to Justice which does not only star Cynthia in the title role of a woman out on revenge but she produced it.

So you know that it is going to kick ass. It also shows ass since the top heavy blonde is aware what movie goers want to see and so shows a lot of her body. She even serves up a brief look at her twin trophies in a lovemaking scene. It’s her only skin on screen to date, so enjoy it guys !
